What a wonderful place! The Cottage was perfect - Bridget thought of everything - as soon as we stepped inside the door, this is a really comfortable house, we could not have wished for better. And those views are to die for! We toured around quiet country roads, and went to Killorglin, Cahersiveen and Glenbeigh; all around Caragh Lake - fortunate to see a Crane hope from one rock to another at Blackstones Bridge - Michael called him "The Lone Fisherman!" Also enjoyed Pacakes at "Strawberry Cottage," and a meal and Irish Coffees at the Red Fox Inn. Many thanks to Bridget and family for a most memorable stay.

Well, where to start? We (my wife, three children (aged 15,11 &10) and I) have just returned from a fantastic week in this holiday home. To call it a holiday rental is not worthy as this property has all the mod cons, is spacious, exceedingly clean, has breathtaking views, fabulous gardens and in a perfect location. Bridget and her family are fabulous hosts and are there on hand for advice and help if required.

The location makes travelling to Dingle,Tralee, Killarney and the ring of Kerry very simple and quick. The property is just outside the lovely town of Kilorglin which has everything you need including a tourist information centre, banks, shops, cafes etc. The tranquility of the property's setting muxt be experienced.

I have no hesitation in recommending this or any of Bridget's other properties. Indeed we are planning our next visit already.

This was our first time to Irland we were so happy and comfortable in this lovely home. The house was spotless with stunning views and great facilities. The highlights of the week were, we rented a boat on Caragh Lake , horse-riding at the breath taking Rossbeigh Beach and hiking through the mountains. We got a warm Irish welcome at The Red Fox Inn Bar and Restaurant which serves great food and Guinness. We also had a relaxing day at the magnificent Lakes of Killarney, Muckross House and hiking through the Gap of Dunloe. We looked forward to returning to Caragh Cottage in the evening to relax and enjoy the beautiful views of the highest mountain and peeks in Ireland. The Landlady was very friendly and recommended many tourist attractions in the locality. We will defiantly be returning to this gorgeous cottage.

We stayed at this cottage with my family at the end of july 2009. From the first moment we were attached to this cottage : very clean, beautiful rooms (en-suite), big well-maintained kitchen, great garden, very nice view at the front (the highest mountain in Ireland) and the back, everything is very cosy and snug. The location is ideal with everything so close by. Killarney is only a 20 minute drive away.
we went on local walks (the scenery is amazing), we went fishing in Caragh Lake (5 minutes driving) and took 15 trouts (!), we went swimming at the beach, we visited the wonderfull 'ring of Kerry' and nature reservation of Killarney, we went to a local pub with live music (recommended by the owner, the landlady of the house), we walked on the fantastic Valencia-Island...
Last but not least : the landlady is very nice and very helpful. She recommended many things for us to do in the area.
We really recommend this cottage to all the people we meet !

Despite of the weather (it hasn't been so worse since 40 years!), it is a warm memory!

I stayed at this cottage last month and I said I would have to write a review about this house. It has been newly renovated with rooms en-suite and a huge kitchen. The location of the property is ideal with everything so close by. Tralee and Killarney are only a 20 minute drive away. The local pub the red fox inn and restaurant is only a 8 minute walk at max and it has some great bar food. Adjacent to the pub is an old kerry bog village museum. It is very nice and worth a visit for sure. The house has a huge lawn overlooking the beautiful kerry mountain range. We often had our breakfast or dinner out on the table in the lawn. To the front you have the highest mountain in Ireland Carrantouhill. I love hill walking and went on local walks in the area and found that the scenery was amazing. Caragh Lake is a few minutes drive away or you can walk to it also. There are three beaches within 5-10 minutes drive from the house. You can even walk to dooks beach if you like. The house has every mod con you can think of and you will find no fault with your stay in this property. The landlady is very nice and very helpful. She recommended many things for us to do in the area. My daughters loved horseriding on the beach and playing in the big garden. It is very safe also because it is off the main road and very peaceful. We also rented a boat and went out on Caragh lake fishing and brought our catch home to cook it. I also packed the golf clubs and went to the local golf club dooks. Kerry has amazing golf clubs. I will defiantly be back to stay next year in this property and I highly recommend it. It is also on the ring of kerry, the location of this house is central to everywhere you will want to go in Kerry,

verbracht. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, ist ein idealer Ort um in den Ring
des Kerry`s einzusteigen. Man hat unzählig viele Möglichkeiten Ausflüge in jede Richtung zu unternehmen...ob am See.....in die Berge oder das Meer
alles ist in kurzer Zeit zu erreichen ...ein Auto ist notwendig.
Das Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen auch für eine große Familie, die Küche bietet alles was man so braucht. Bridget ist eine sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieterin.Können das Haus sehr empfehlen.

Wir waren vom 31.7. bis 14.8.2010 in diesem schönen Haus. Es liegt direkt am "Ring of Kerry", so dass man von dort Unternehmungen starten kann. 500 m vom Haus liegt das bekannte "Red Fox Inn". Das Haus zeichnet sich aus durch eine sehr geschmackvolle Einrichtung. Es ist alles vorhanden, was man so für das tägliche Leben braucht. Es ist sehr sauber und ordentlich und wirkt durch die hellen Farben in den Räumen sehr freundlich und einladend. Besonders aufgefallen sind die außerordentlich bequemen Betten und die wirklich sehr geschmackvolle Bettwäsche. Die Vermieterin, Mrs Mc Sweeney ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat öfters mit uns einen ausgedehnten Plausch über dies und das gehelten. Sie war immer ansprechbar, wenn es Fragen gab.Auch die Außenanlagen sind sehr gepflegt. Wir haben 14 wunderbare und erholsame Tage in dem Haus verbracht und werden bestimmt nochmal dort Urklaub verbringen. Vielen Dank an Familie Mc Sweeney.
