We are sad to leave your lovely beach house. We had a wonderful and very authentic Italian experience. The house is so well equipped the children enjoyed the beach toys and the DVD in the evening. We will come back. Thank you Giselle and Francesca.

So a good day to write in this book. We love the hairy black cat and, of course, The Lantern restaurant. The sea was very wild and the children loved it. My compliments for everything. The neighbour took Bas to the dentist and he kept talking in his best English. Thank you so much. Leaving tomorrow, mixed feelings about going home.

We made it back, third time! Fantastic weather. Nothing to do but laze around on the fab beach and wallow in the crystal clear water. Heavenly!

With family and friends I have stayed in this apartment four times! It really ticks all the boxes, food - very reasonable cost wise and locally produced. As is the wine, all so delicious. The region is Abruzzo where it is locally produced. Sometimes I look on wine bottles in England and see the Abruzzo label, selling at much higher cost!
The apartment caters for all ages with all requirements. Everything is provided and the apartment is very well equipped. Being a few paces to the beach no need to worry with small children. No roads to cross to get there.
I have never been anywhere so often ever,I love it so, because it is just so idilic, the venue and situation and just the whole area. Italy, that particular coastline and the local area of Silvi is very unique. Usually populated with local Italians, it has never been over crowded nor completely deserted, in all the times I've visited. It feels you are close to places that are familiar and yet one could be a million miles from anywhere they have been before.
There is so much to explore, with or without a car, it is easy to get around. Walking is fun, just have good walking shoes and possibly the best way to see anywhere. Recently we have hired a car, mainly to use getting to the airport further up the coast, at Ancona, approx an hour and a half north from Silvi. Pescara, is the more convenient option, eight miles or so from Silvi.
Visiting further across the country to Rome is possible to do in a day, on a trip from Pescara by bus taking less than 3hours. We have driven through the mountains to Rome, with more than one driver this is managable, taking under 3hours. This time we might go by train to Rome! Also leaving from Pescara.
There are many local places to explore and within an hour can be high up admiring views across the sea from Silvi Alta. Last time with friends, we spent the best part of a day here, having a lovely meal with all local produce before heading home. Atri, is another must for any visitor. Only a few miles inland and it was a Sunday, lots of people pouring from the big Church at the centre of Atri. A place that has gone back in time, somewhere very quaint and I shall visit again, next time.
There are very many good small shops locally and a hypermarket in Silvi. A wonderful market comes to Silvi on a Thursday, there's nothing they don't sell! In Pescara there are all the big city stores.
Writing this I can't wait for my next visit!

This apartment is home from home in the holiday sense of the word. Staying here blending in with the locals esp on market day,Thursday seeing a bit of local life in Silvi, everyone is so helpful. Lots of routes we discovered for a nice walk or jump on a bus and get into Pescara, the financial capital in 20 mins,Or stay on your doorstep and so easy to take a drink and book 120 steps to the beach,to sit and loose yourself! Fifteen mins walk along the beach to the town for all essentials. An easy journey to Rome for the day is possible, too. The tastefully decorated apartment is equipped catering for all needs.There is a comprehensive list of restaurants locally and all the necessary places one might need while staying away,chemist bus times etc.
My husband and I stayed here in September a couple of years' ago. I went back for "me" time for a girls' holiday last May and we are booked for this July with another couple. Three times in as many years says more than one could ever write esp from a person who never goes back to the same place twice! It ticks all the boxes and all needs thought of I would just say give it a try I am sure you will not be disappointed.
