Thank you for opening your house to us through the VRBO site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with my brother and his family over Easter weekend, largely due to how beautiful and comfortable our accommodations were. We had four kids with us, from age 4 to 11, and your description of the house as one well-suited to children was very accurate. There was no shortage of activities to keep them occupied! We also really appreciated having the hot tub on the back deck and used it several times, while enjoying the great views of the mountains and Brevard.

We definitely plan to return to your house in the future. Your efforts to make us feel welcome and comfortable were above and beyond anywhere else that we have stayed. Thank you again for everything and happy spring!

This property was fabulous - it started with Robin, the owner, who was so accomodating and made the booking and arrival process simple. The house is literally on a mountain, overlooking Brevard - its remote, up a partially paved road (which could be a challenge in snow/ice) but its well worth the 5 minute drive. The house is extremely well outfitted and has every utility you would need. Our kids loved the tree house, the fire pit, the tire swing and hammock on the deck as well as ping pong, air hockey, WII etc etc. For adults, the views from the upper deck are phenomenal, and the indoor, wood burning stove at night was a real treat. It's a shame to leave the house but we found some great hikes to the waterfalls around Brevard and also the state fish hatchery. Overall a great vacation spot and home.

We just arrived home after spending the last few days at this beautiful home and I think we all would agree that the house was a great find and we wish we could have stayed longer. There was plenty to do inside the house for my 4 teenage kids and it was in a great location to the town and close other outside activities. My son and husband fished while the girls and I hiked in DuPont State Park. We shopped and had dinner in downtown Brevard and even squeezed in a trip to Asheville. We look forward to coming back and enjoying this wonderful place again!

Property was as described and shown in photos on VRBO. If anything, it is much nicer than the impression we had formed based on VRBO. It is a beautiful home with an absolutely stunning view, very kid friendly (tons of legos, games, and other toys). New kitchen appliances. Amazing pool and nice hot tub. Neat hi-end tree house that the kids loved.
Very clean. Seems like much of it has been recently remodeled.
Plenty of room for our family of 4 plus grandparents. Would probably be fine for 2 families; there are essentially 3 living rooms, one of which could be used as additional kid/teen sleeping.
If you stay in the summer be sure to go to the Brevard Music Camp just down the mountain. It is a classical music camp for HS and college kids aiming for a career in classical music, and many world famous musicians and conductors come to perform with them. Truly top notch. Go listen to them practice; its free and in some ways just as good as a formal concert.
Check out O P Taylors toy store in downtown Brevard. Lots of things to play with. About 5 minutes from the house.
Twin Dragons Grand Buffet is a giant buffet about 10 min away. Cheap ($10 for adult, I think) and food was fine. While not "fine dining" it was a lot better than we expected for the price.

We were surprised that you have to go about a mile on a gravel road to reach the house. But that was never a problem. There is a paved driveway at the house with ample parking for several cars. Can't think of any other negatives.

I wish that someone could have videoed our reaction as we drove up to this stunning house. We knew from the pictures that we would be pleased, but the entire car went silent as we all gasped! They say its the little things that can make or break a vacation. In my opinion, every detail was attended to...and then some. Having 2 children, ages 2 and 10, there was plenty to do for both. Even with the little bit of rain that we got, there was never a moment of boredom. The pool, the hot tub, the ping pong, the air hockey...the entire game room filled with toys that kept a smile on the kids faces! The great thing about this house is that you really did not need to leave! Everything you wanted was right there. That being said, the fact that you are merely minutes from the city proper of Brevard, when we did leave it was a quick and easy trip in to town. Being a runner, each morning I took the youngest in to town for a run around the college and beautiful town of Brevard. I would highly recommend this rental! As a matter of fact, we have already started looking at the calendar to plan our next visit! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this place or the hosts. Thank you so much!
