My Husband and I had a fabulous holiday. Staying at Sunny Banks fit in perfectly with our vacation plans. The location was great, we were able to walk miles on the beach in either direction and had access to two grocery stores. We wanted to be self sufficient and the well equipped kitchen provided everything we needed to cook our own meals. Breakfast on the roof top patio every morning was lovely. There was lots of privacy and the apartment was clean and attended to regularly by Natalie.We enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Cin Cin ( a 4 minute walk ) to celebrate our 30th Anniversary.

We have stayed at many hotels all over the Caribbean but what we enjoyed the most is the propert's location and privacy; two things we greatly value but are usually so pricy to get on these vacations.
The self catering holiday property is in an ideal location on the beautiful west coast of the island, directly on the beach. We had everything at our finger tips; supermarket, petrol station, great choices of restaurant ( the very lovely CinCin is 2 minutes walk away). Although we had a car, we hardly left the property as being right on the beach (hearing the waves constantly) satisfied most of our needs. It is almost like you have your own private beach that stretches for miles. During low tide, we were actually able to walk to neighbouring beach, Batts Rock.

Natalie, the housekeeper, was extremely helpful and works very hard to keep the property extremely tidy; the property is surrounded by trees and not even a leaf remains on the ground for too long when she is around... :)
Scott, the owner, is so lovely and so prompt. He was very kind to us.

The accommodations are very comfortable, not to mention cosy with all your basis amenities..
For the times that we did leave the property and filled our days with sightseeing and tours, it was so nice to come back to the serenity of the property and have a drink on the roof top terrace and watch the sunset in the evening.

If relaxation and peace are what you are after on this beautiful island, then this is the place to be. In fact, Lukas and I are scheduled to return there in 2 weeks for another great get away and are very much looking forward to it.

My fiance and I stayed there for 7 nights in the luxury one bedroom...and were completely satisfied with the accomodations. From the very first contact to the very end the owner Scott was fantastic. He was helpful, honest, and friendly. These qualities are super important to us, especially because we booked his place from Toronto Canada and didn't know what to expect when we got there.
The property manager, a close friend of Scott's, met us at the place, showed us around a bit, found points of interest on the map and made herself available to us.

The amenities in the apartment were perfect- a microwave, fridge, a/c, stove, toaster and all the utensils necessary. There's a mini TV (with satellite) and we watched it.....oh ya that's right NEVER!!! The beach was a 20 second walk to the end of the property. complete heaven! we swam so much, lounged on the white sand with no one in sight. There are several beaches close to the house that you can walk along the shore to.

We rented a jeep and drove most of the island over the week, and had a fabulous time. There is a large super market just east of the house (2 minute drive) where we bought food at the hot counter. There is a grocery store closer but its clearly a local, smaller store.

We saw monkeys across the street from the house! so funny.
as for safety, we felt very safe. we've been to 7 caribbean islands and Barbados is like being in a very developed country. i was born and raised in england - and it felt so british. we loved it.

I and my husband really enjoyed our stay in Sunny Banks; it was a right choice for us. Location is great, first week we didn’t rent a car and could easily access everything by bus, the bus station is just next to the property.  Grocery store is just minutes away and offer a special shuttle if you don’t want to walk back with heavy bags.  For the 2d week of our stay we rented a car to see the entire island better. Thanks to the owner of the property Scott, who recommended us to do so.
Our apartment was nice and clean, it had everything we needed. We really enjoyed   the roof top terrace, the view is stunning, and lounge chairs are very comfortable, sunsets unforgettable.  There are a lot of nice flowers and trees around. Although there was a busy road next to us we didn’t hear any noise.
Paulina and Natalie were so nice and helpful; they gave us a lot of nice tips and recommendations. Natalie is extremely hard working and very friendly, she gave us the best mangos I’ve ever tried, she also gave us snorkeling gear and we snorkeled just outside the beach gate of the property, don’t forget to reapply sun block, sun is so strong there and you can burn easily. Several times we watched turtles swimming by. The fisherman next door got fresh fish for us, his name is Vernon; just ask him to catch some for you. Also ask Natalie for limes from the trees on the property, they are great for cooking.
We definitely will come back to Sunny Banks if we come to Barbados and will recommend this property to all our friends. Great vacation.

What a nice apartment! Ocean views off the two balconies - one from the living room / kitchen area and one from the bedroom. An outdoor shower for when you get back from the very, very nice beach. And you don't have to cross the road to get to it either!

It was really cool to be sitting on one of the balconies or out on the beach and see all the rental catamarans sailing out for the day, then sailing back in in the afternoon. And you can see the cruise ships entering and leaving Bridgetown - a city of floating lights sailing away and you know you are where you would rather be - sipping a cool one on your own land yacht.

Very clean and what a friendly staff. Sunny Banks is right on the main bus line, so you really don't need a car.

We have a time-share in Barbados that we stay at for one week and then look for another place for our second week. We need look no further. We will be coming back next year.

We had great time in Barbados. The apartment was in good strategic position -
about half way between Sandy Line and Bridgetown. Sandy Line with great beaches and Holetown with restaurants from one side and Bridgetown with his street life and fish market and shops from other side. The bus stop was just in front of apartment and the nice beach just few steps away.
The bus stop was important - saving time for reaching places we were going.
We were lucky to meet Sean - a local cook . Hi prepared some nice meals to us and also showing around wonderful places of Barbados.
Paulina , the property manager was helpful and we are thankful for the time she spent on us.
If You are planning to rent this property , ask the owner about the places You can visit - he has good leaflet about this.
We have been travelling in many places before , but Carribbean`s are special. We will come back as soon we can. The vacation was very relaxing . People we met was very friendly . Before our trip we was reading about some dangers that migth be in Barbados - may-be there are some , but we didn`t feel any danger. May be because we didn`t look after them.
If someone asks - just go there.
We didn`t met the owner , but he was always just a phonecall away to get assistance , if any questions occured.
The property was clean and well equipped. We can recommend this apartment for couples and You can take Your kids with You as well.
You don`t need a car . If You are coming from Europe we wold recommend to buy a local prepayd phonecard , then Your calls will be cheap enough.
The bottomline is that next time we will go to the Barbados , we will stay in this apartment again.
