Recently refurbished spacious, airy. Top floor.
Penthouse studio. Views of sea/mountains/old town. Huge terrace and rear (sunset) balcony. Air-conditioned and 'traversant' with windows front and back. Sleeps 2-3. Sixth and top floor, lift of course, with super views of the sea, the old town and the mountains. 5 min walk from Menton bus and train stations. Direct fast coach service from Nice airport to Menton. Frequent trains to Monaco, Nice and all of the coast to Cannes and beyond and to Italy in the other direction. Italy and Monaco both 10 minutes by rail. So, no need for a car. But free parking in the street. Very spacious since most furniture is fitted and the two beds fold away. Superb local market at the bottom of the road every morning. Beaches/town centre 10-15 min walk. We can normally collect you from Nice airport and take you directly to Menton. DATES FLEXIBLE 20% REDUCTION FOR SECOND AND SUBSEQUENT WEEKS

Penthouse Delight
Menton as a town felt relaxed with just enough tourist provision alongside daily life.
Two Weeks in Menton - Great Location
The apartment location is ideal for anyone who enjoys taking day trips. It is 5 minutes from the bus and the train. This has been a great base for exploring the french coast.
We enjoy walking so getting around has not been an issue. There are several small grocery stores in the area and the large supermarket is conveniently accessed by bus. Several bakeries and restaurants within a 5 minute wall. The sea is at the end of the street as well as a casino. We would not hesitate to recomend this apartment.

The sixth (top) floor apartment has excellent views over the town and the sea, with a terrasse that is big enough for any purpose. The lift works, the front entrance to the set of apartments is secured.
The bus station and the train station are within five minutes walk, giving easy and cheap access to the coast, Italy, and the mountains and mountain villages in the interior. TGV direct to/from Paris each day; busses every 30 mintues to/from Nice airport, every 15 minutes to Nice via Monaco and all villages in between.. Menton is a good centre. Car drivers may have to look around a bit for parking
Several butchers, boulangeries, a small supermarket, a daily street market, and other shops and services are nearby: The sea front is ten minutes or so walk away.
We were there for the annual Lemon festival (mid February to early March), which is well organised and spectacular. Plenty of other events and sights. There is coast and mountain walking at all fitness levels. There are plenty of restaurants in the town centre and on the sea front. The historic town centre is about 15 minutes' walk; if this is a bit far for you , there are always busses.
So we'd recommend this apartment.
