We spent our first week in South Africa at the Kingfisher and couldn’t have been happier. Ruby was a pleasure to work with and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was well beyond our expectations… spacious, modern, clean and secure. The grounds are immaculate and we had maid service throughout our stay.

Having never been to Cape Town before, we felt especially lucky to have picked such a perfect location as Marina da Gama. Although Cape Town was an easy 20 minute drive, we were right around the corner from the charm of Muizenberg and the other beach cites and ten minutes away from the elegant wineries and restaurants of Constantia. Even the Cape drive was short and easy.

We would recommend the Kingfisher to anyone who enjoys getting out but appreciates getting home to the privacy and security of your own apartment.

We spent one month at Kingfisher Cottage mid December to mid January and loved every minute. The accommodation was excellent, spacious and comfortable, and the view from the light, airy living area overlooking the water was superb. It was fascinating just to sit and watch the ducks and wildlife on the water.

We would not hesitate to recommend Kingfisher Cottage as it is so peaceful, but within easy reach of many other places, and we hope to return next year.

We stayed in this lovely, friendly accommodation in December 2010. It was clean, bright and very well equiped, we just bought food. The hosts were very welcoming and made us feel very at home.
I would highly reccommend this facility, we had a brilliant stay and were just sorry we didn't have more time to spend there.

We have just had 2 very relaxing weeks in this cottage. It is in a very peaceful (apart from the geese which are everywhere!), beautiful area but not too far away from all the sights of Cape Town, in fact it was an ideal base especially if you dont want to be in the centre of a city. It is about 1/2 mile from the local beach. All ameneties are within a very short distance. The accomodation is exactly as described, clean and tidy.The owners made us feel very welcome and were a good source of local information.
We would recommend this cottage to anyone. It was real value for money.

Ein Cottage in einer sehr ruhigen Umgebung. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind trotzdem direkt um die Ecke zu finden. Ebenso ein gutes, nettes und preisgünstiges Bistro/Restaurant.

Im Cottage fühlt man sich sehr wohl. Auch Garten ist schön angelegt und gepflegt. Man kann ohne weiteres auch mal dne Tag hier verbringen. Die Fahrt mit dem Tretboot ist ein Erlebnis für sich. Das Strampeln wird mit tollen Ausblick belohnt. Sowohl auf die umliegenden Berge als auch auf die anderen Anlieger an den "Kanälen".

Die Kap-und Weinregion sind von hier aus gut erreichbar. In der Nachbarschaft finden sich viele kleine Orte die zum Erkunden einladen. Alles in allem eine wirklich empfehlenswerte Lage.

Ruby und Dick machen als gute Gastgeber das Paket komplett. Und wenn dann noch die Katze der beiden sich zu Dir wie Deine eigene verhält, dann fühlst Du Dich wie zu Hause.
