The Beautiful Casa!
I have had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful home during the last two summers. There are no words to describe how much I enjoyed my stay at this lovely place. I remember waking up the first morning that I was there and walking out onto the front porch. Surrounded by the rain forest, sitting and drinking my cup of coffee, I looked up into a tree and there were 4 Toucans looking at me. I remember I started crying...I couldn't believe that I was surrounded by so much beauty.
This home is so beautifully kept, inside and out. It has everything you need. All you need is clothes and food. The home is so beautifully decorated. It is surrounded by the rain forest, beautiful flora and fauna. You never know what type of 'creature' you may wake up to in the morning. You will hear the "Howler" monkeys in the distance and sometimes see them as they travel around in the mountains that surround the house. You will see various types of beautiful birds in the trees surrounding the house and more than likely, have the opportunity to watch the Coatis play in the trees directly behind the house.
The beautiful patio at the back of the house looks out over the rain forest towards the ocean. The 'infinity' pool in the back is stunning and the sunsets are unbelievable. The sounds of the jungle are an experience you will never forget, and if you're lucky, you will get an opportunity to experience a fantastic lightning show!
There are many wonderful things to do withing an 1 1/2 hours of this beautiful home. Manuel Antonio Park is an easy drive up the coast. Quepos, a little fishing village just outside the park, has a wonderful farmer's market on Saturdays and I recommend going there to get your fresh fruits and vegetables if you can. We had the most incredible horseback ride through the rain forest to Nauyaca Falls. It was an all day event with breakfast and lunch served in the rain forest and a beautiful swim at the falls. Take a drive to the fishing village, Sierpe, and take a boat tour through the rivers. You'll see Scarlet Macaws, alligators, all kids of birds, insects, turtles, monkeys, snakes. Fabulous! Go to Dominical Beach and Playa Ventana to swim. All within and hour of the house. And don't forget to try the wonderful restaurants which are close by. Exotica and Citrus...fabulous food!
There is not enough room to write of all my fabulous experiences staying at the home. The people of Costa Rica are warm and wonderful. I cannot wait to go back!!! Pura Vida!!
