Luxury camping at its best! Located in the exclusive Saddlehorn community, The Ponderosa Cabin was inspired by a 1920's cabin but has the modern, luxurious amenities of a 5-star hotel. Designed by nationally-renowned Bigfork architect Nick Fullerton, the cabin features high-vaulted ceilings, indoor/outdoor access, reclaimed wood and slate floors, Wolf appliances, and custom stonework. The Ponderosa has enough beds to comfortably sleep 14 - kids even have their own special bunk room where no adults are allowed. All beds have been furnished by the W hotel.

Saddlehorn member amenities include the Horse Arena where you can go for a trail ride in the mountains and the Saddlehorn Marina on Flathead Lake where you can go boating, tubing, wake boarding or fishing. Take a morning walk and see the deer and wild turkey roam freely. Hike to the top of the mountain and see the 180 degree views of Flathead Lake. The Eagle Bend Golf Club is also just down the street.

There is high-speed wifi, but intentionally no TV to maximize social interaction and engagement with nature

About The Owner

I'm a designer who was looking for a cabin retreat that would allow me to escape into a place of relaxation and inspiration. This cabin is designed to facilitate all these things. Much consideration has been put into the furniture choices, and design of the place as I wanted a cabin that was rustic, yet modern, comfortable and relaxing.

The Owner purchased this house in 2011

After visiting the Flathead Lake area for 3 years, we fell in love with the town, the people, and the beautiful scenery. For us, Bigfork is paradise.

What makes this house unique

Get a chance to live off the grid and unplug from the daily grind and stress of everyday life. You will be immediately taken to a level of relaxation from the moment you land in Montana!

We love the outdoors but we're not super outdoorsy and this is the best way to experience it all. 'Glamping' at it's best!

We had a four-generation family reunion that everyone from the great-grandparents to the pre-schoolers enjoyed.
We got lots of material from the owner about the house, as well as the tons of activities available in the immediate area. Our questions were answered quickly and personally by the owner, and our security deposit was waiting for us when we got home.
We hiked in Glacier Park, saw a musical in Big Fork, fished and swam on Flathead Lake, and went horseback riding right down the hill from the house.
My wife now wants a place like this, with heavy wooden beams and gnarly rocks throughout.
