I can't begin to say how awesome this HOME was. I stress the word home as that is what it feels like. So many nice ammenities and homelike touches. Our daughter got married at the Willowbrook and this house is just a short walk there and within view of the bay. It offers so much room inside with an area for the kids to watch tv and play games and adults to have a quiet area to sit and talk. The owner was so wonderful, making sure that we had everything that we needed and even called during our stay to make sure everything was going well. I had emailed the owner many times with questions and were responded to promptly. My whole family stayed the 3 night which included my married children and grandchildren and mother in law and there was plenty of sleeping room for all of us as the grandkids loved having a slumber party in there sleeping bags and all the adults 8 total all had beds (and very comfortable ones at that). The home is nicer and bigger then the pictures could ever show. So many nice touches - way to many to list. It was nice when you are dealing with the normal stresses of a wedding having a home to stay at that made things so easy
We enjoyed walking around the quaint town and meeting the neighbors. Everyone was extremely nice. The grocery store and coffee shop are within walking distance as is the marina.
We did take our dog (our baby) with us and it was plent of room for him to roam and a great place to go for walks. He had lots of fun with the big yard yet plenty of room to strectch out on the floor in the house
I would recommend this home to anyone and everyone. We drove from central Illinois and had never been to Northport. We were so pleased and will definetly visit again and stay at this home. I thank the owner so much for making this such a great experience.

This was our fourth year finding a home for two families of 4, now 4 of those kids are teens. We found Sandhill on VRBO and it ended up being perfect! Start your mornings under the wisteria on the front porch to plan your day, move to the kitchen in the afternoon for wine time and a rousing game of Gin and finish your days at the long, comfortable dining room for conversation recapping your day and planning tomorrows! The yard is unbelievably huge!! Room enough for Badminton and Cornhole! We saw the Milky Way from the beach a half block away and just had a wonderful time. We love that there was no cable, but the wireless came in handy and the movie selection (for our one rainy night) was great for all ages! The house is comfy, homey, plenty of linens and housewares!
The kids walked to the beach and Barbs and photos don't do the house justice it is a gem! The Rainy night was also our night for take out and the pizza from The North Shore (name??) was hot, tasty and fairly priced!

We loved the "new vacation rental". The house is so welcoming and comfortable and the perfect location to walk to our favorite activities in Northport. Marcia has all the modern conveniences and extras we have not found at other rentals in the area. We rent two homes for our family of 14 or so each summer. This time we congregated for all our indoor family time at Marcia's. Some of our favorite Northport activites we enjoyed this time were beach time and SUP boarding on the bay, evening walks around town, perseid star showers at Peterson Park, sunrise at the beach with coffee and donuts from Barb's bakery, ceramics for the kids on a rainy day, dune climb and picnic at Sleeping Bear, wine tasting and of course reading on the front porch.

I almost don't want the word to get out about this place! It was 100% perfect, and we are a picky group. We went for a girls weekend with my mom, niece, and two sisters, and there was plenty of space. The kitchen was the perfect size for cooking and the dining area could seat at least eight people. The bedrooms were large and the two bathrooms were also a good size. This place would be perfect for friends, or families with kids, since there are two bedrooms with queen beds and two with bunk/twin beds. It is in a good location, a very short walk to the grocery store and breakfast, and Marcia is a breeze to work with. I recommend this place wholeheartedly.
