The house was amazing and had everything one could possibly want! The owner was so kind and helpful, we were able to use everything in the house and feel right at home! The house is truly beautiful, with every amenity. Tucked away in a private nook, the home is a beautiful place with everything one could need to catch up with family and good friends. We will definitely be staying again!

Amazing Thanksgiving

Six friends and I decided not to go home for Thanksgiving, but instead to rent a house and and cook Thanksgiving dinner ourselves. We couldn't have picked a better house! This house has three ovens, the perfect amount of counter space, a huge table, and everything you could possibly need--seriously. On top of an amazing kitchen, the house is laid out perfectly for a group of adults (we're all in our mid-late 20's); firewood & boardgames were a nice surprise. The owner of the house, Rich, was also so hospitable. I think we'll be back to check out the lake in the summer.

Our experience was very favorable. The house was beautiful and in a very private location. There were other houses around but you really could not see them. We found everything we needed at the house and the property manager and the owners were very helpful. The view from the house was like being in a rain forest. The lake was very hard to see in August. The view of the lake in fall and winter, I'm sure would be better. Fall must be magnificent! Our only concerns while we were at Riverbrook was the long walk to the lake(233 steps) and that finding the house was very tricky. You need a good map or better yet a GPS. All in all, the house was great, and the trip was very enjoyable. Loved the hot tub and the 3 ensuite bedroom/bathrooms! An excellent home and property!

My husband and two teenagers just spent a week at Riverbrook, and had a wonderful time. The house is comfortable and well-stocked, with everything we needed for the week from beach towels to tin foil. The sunporch provided a lovely spot for sitting in the early evening, and we enjoyed the spa. But the highlight was the lake. We docked our ski boat at the owner's dock for a week, and water-skied and wake-boarded every day. We also spent time exploring the area, hiking, and biking. All in all it was an ideal vacation and we'd recommend this house to anyone who loves the out of doors.

Lovely home on Lake Lillinonah

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful home. You feel like you are in a tree house looking out back towards the lake. The beams, floors and antiques really make it a unique home.
It's a hike to the lake, but well worth it when you get there and see how beautiful it is. The swimming was perfect!
The kitchen is well equipped for cooking. We enjoyed eating out in the gazebo.
The jacuzzi is an added bonus to enjoy a glass of wine while looking out into the woods.

Fantastic Experience in Southbury

Exceptional property, amenities, location. On all fronts, our expectations were exceeded and we would highly recommend from these vantage points. The property is appropriately secluded, without being too remote (thus, easy access to surrounding towns). Both the owner and property manager are in communication with the renter in the event any issues arise (we had none, and had a very helpful review of the property/ins and outs upon arrival). We have seen many deals in Fairfield County and immediate environs, and this was the best.

This house was excellent. Very spacious...FULLY STOCKED with everything you might need. Pillows/sheets/towels/ - utensils/plates/cups - spices/condiments/, etc. You really only need to bring your clothing and some food.
Excellent space, great outside deck with hot tub. Covered screened in porch with a nice view. Everything was clean, free WI-FI...excellent TV service. Nice sound system. Plenty of parking. Very private.
My friends and I had a great time, and would absolutely rent the house again. The caretaker was very friendly, helpful and responded via txt to questions quickly.
Highly Recommended!

Truly amazing and lovely!

Everything was as described by the owner and beyond expected. The house was beautiful and the owners did a great job to make us feel like home. The house is located in a wonderful spot that allowed us to relax and enjoy the nature in peace and quietness. Also, the house had a private walkway to the lake that was also very nice. The boat that the owner allowed us to use was also a big plus for us to enjoy the lake to the fullest. Owner was very kind and prompt in communicating with us to make sure we enjoyed the weekend without any "bad experience".
The property manager was kind and helpful. He made sure we had everything that we needed and even gave us recommendations to the local businesses.
We definitely recommend this place to everyone that wants to have a wonderful time at a beautiful house by the lake!
