Fabulous, fun and peaceful Stay in Santa Rosa

My family and I have stayed in the area separate times in the last two years. This rental and property were by far, the best! Roger and Lynn were so welcoming and kind. Our 4 year old delighted in seeing the llamas on the property and mom and dad here loved taking a walk through the vineyard down the street in the afternoon. The kitchen, laundry room/bathrooms were stocked with anything we would need. It was also great knowing that Roger and Lynn were there if we needed anything yet the stay was very private. We will be staying at this rental again and I can't recommend it highly enough to anyone reading this review!

This beautifully decorated and appointed cottage was a treat to return to each day while we were staying the Russian River area. The updated kitchen and bathroom were attractive and convenient, and the LCD TVs and in living room and bedroom made it easy to relax in the evening. Wifi was also nice. The complimentary coffee tasted great each morning.

Beautiful property. Nice central location between Santa Rosa and Sebastopol. You could walk to Zazu. Very private and quiet. Clean, quaint and cozy. Owners left us baked goods, cheese and crackers in a welcome basket. Nicely equipped kitchen. Everything was great. Will definitely be back.

Cottage Stay in Santa Rosa

Our stay was amazing! Lynn was very hospitable and we were greeted with a nice note and fresh baked goods. The area was beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better weather. There are some very nice wineries just up the road from the cottage and great restaurants in downtown Santa Rosa. I would definitely stay here again to tour wine country.

Great vacation cottage

The Sunny View Cottage met and exceeded all our expectations for our week long vacation. The house and furnishings were better than the photos shown online. We ate out at mid day and ate in in the evenings in a kitchen was perfect for our gourmet meals. The completely equipped kitchen was a joy to cook in. We were close to our favorite Sonoma vineyards and only 45 minutes to St. Helena in Napa.
I can't leave out the comfortable beds which were the best in 8 years of staying in VRBO homes from San Diego to the Napa/Sonoma area. All in all, this Cottage is a real 10 for those who like to travel.

AT HOME AWAY FROM HOME!

The cottage is warm and wonderfully equipped (everything from a blender to cupcake trays and cookie sheets!). You could cook/prepare just about anything in the spacious kitchen. The location is easily accessible yet somewhat rural; it's fun to look out the window and see a llama in your backyard! All instructions were explicit and it was such a wonderful treat to have homemade baked goods there to greet us. We would definitely recommend Sunny View Cottage and hope to return ourselves some day!

A slice of relaxing heaven!

My friends and I spent a long weekend in January at Sunny View and the cottage was so cozy, clean, and well-appointed that we all tried to figure out a way to stay longer! Before arriving, Roger & Lynn made it one of the easiest VRBO sign ups and arrivals I've had. We thoroughly enjoyed the sweets waiting for us when we got in and we loved the DVD selection. The beds were very comfortable and we took full advantage of the kitchen. It is a little outside of downtown Santa Rosa --- follow the directions as the signs for some of the side roads are a bit hard to see in the dark. It is very peaceful and we will happily return in the future!

Excellent stay near Santa Rosa and Sebastopol

We spent 2 weeks at this beautiful place visiting our family in Sebastopol. The 5 of us just had a fantastic time. The kids loved the view out of the kitchen window every morning to see what the lamas are doing. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything you need and the bathroom had lots of fluffy towels. Good to have a laundry machine and a dryer when you are traveling with kids! Thanks a lot Lynn and Roger for the wonderful stay at your Sunny View Cottage.

My sister and I had a wonderful week here. Sunny View Cottage is so comfortable we didn't want to leave. It really is as nice as it looks in the pictures. A basket of goodies was waiting on the counter for us when we arrived. What a nice surprise. The homemade pumpkin loaf was delicious. Lynn and Roger are very hospitable and have thought of everything that travellers might need. The kitchen was great, with good cooking utensils, dishes, etc. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom well stocked with nice fluffy towels. The rose gardens must be awesome when they are in full bloom.
The location was good for us as we were cycling and the cottage is not far from some really nice bike paths and is close enough to lots of good wineries. We enjoyed the country setting.
We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Beautiful Wine Country Getaway

Ditto all the great reviews! Our group was thrilled with the well situated location in Santa Rosa (within 20 mins. of almost everything and 5-10 mins to Russian River wineries) and the tastefully decorated, well appointed, clean, comfortable amenities. I have stayed at nearby high end hotels and enjoyed being able to feel like a local resident, able to cook and relax in a beautiful home. The owners' thoughtful and warm touches conveyed pride in their property and we appreciated their efforts to make our stay special. We shopped the local farmer's market, dined and wine tasted...a big bonus was their lovely alpaca and viewing hot air balloons launching over the vineyards in the morning ... a true wine country weekend! Hope to be back again soon!
