What a wonderful location, and so many amenities! We enjoyed our week at Hale O Kip…..snowcapped mountains, world class surf, fantastic restaurants, and fun shopping at the resorts. What a pleasant surprise to find this treasure. Lots of room to relax, beautiful ocean view, everything we needed to stay in, yet so close to the resorts and beach. The diversity and beauty of the big island is tops –farmers markets, horseback riding, snorkeling, and the general rural lifestyle. We are already planning next year’s stay.

Aloha,
Sally

Relaxing Waimea home at about 1200 feet

This home is spacious and relaxing and impeccably maintained. While there were just two of us on this trip, it is a great vacation home for larger families or perhaps a couple of families. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped. It is on the main highway (19) to Waimea, but up higher on a hill, so still very private. You can hear street noise, but with the windows closed, it is not noticeable. Even when outside, the traffic noise was not obtrusive. It is convenient to the town of Waimea and the resorts at Mauna Lani and Waikoloa. It is about an hour and 20 minutes to Hilo. The home is designed very nicely and has large living areas that open out on to the ocean views. You can enjoy the view with the windows open or closed. The realtor who handles the property is so helpful and thoughtfully left the lights on, as our flight came in at night. This was one of the most restful vacations we've had...we were happy to just lounge around the house for most of the trip and enjoy the ocean and volcano views. It is conveniently located as a home base for driving throughout the island.

We ate at Pau (Waimea), Hawaiian Style Cafe (Waimea), Lava Lava Beach Club (Waikoloa), King's View Cafe (Kapaau) and brought home food from the Gourmet Supermarket in Queens Marketplace in Waikoloa. Pau was the tastiest. Hawaiian Style Cafe was very generous with their portions and had good pancakes. The staff were very friendly. Lava Lava Beach Club was perfect for sunset dining, right on the sand. They also had a duo singing, which was nice for a sunset dinner.

Went to the Waimea Christmas parade....a small town treat.

The Big Island is so restful and this home was definitely a great way to enjoy island living.

We had a wonderful time at your villa. Not single issue. Kitchen and the rest of the house is perfect. The amenities were numerous and the experience was so easy and worry free, we will be back again. Many great beaches and shopping just a quick hop away but yet you still have all the privacy of your own home. We cannot recommend your villa more.

thanks again

What a perfect place to spend our vacation on the Big Island! The view from the house was excellent, waking up to the beautiful Kohala coastline and the view of all the volcanos and stars from the upper deck was amazing!!!! Good place to go to our favorite beaches but so convenient to just jump in the pool and hot tub too. The house was very spacious and held our whole group really well. I think the best part was that the adults could really just relax here and the kids never got bored. It got a little windy sometimes but coming from the 100+ degree back home made it enjoyable. You know and I have to say it was refreshing to be a little bit away from the crowds of the resorts and more populated areas on the island, but when we wanted to go to those places it was still pretty easy. I highly recommend this home, it was definitely worth it, especially if you have a bigger group like us.
