The beaches of 30A are absolutely the most gorgeous in all of Florida. I recently moved here from Georgia to be close to my grandchildren who live in Blue Mountain Beach. I am currently living in Seagrove Beach, just a hop, skip and a jump for 'It Had to Be View' while I am building a house in Blue Mountain Beach. This has been the most delightful transition and being here makes me want to get up and get out and be active. Katie and CC, my lab and Cavalier King Charles, make sure I do the getting up for sure as soon as the sun comes up -- which is really early here!
My son who lives in Atlanta just bought this beautiful home in Seacrest in August, 2013, for others to enjoy until he can get here for a quick getaway. I know he would appreciate your telling him what a lovely time you had at It Had to be View!
Seacrest Beach is probably one of the most popular vacation spots on 30A because of its proximity to Rosemary and Alys Beaches. The lagoon pool at the Resort is 12000 square feet which gives plenty of space for families to enjoy. The property, named for its amazing views, has unobstructed views of the gulf, and was THE major attraction for us.
I love the shopping experience in this area. There are so many neat decorating stores -- Pizitz at Seaside, Tracery at Rosemary and Beau in Grayton Corners, just love those places. Can't pass up a bargain at the Outlet mall in Sandestin! And it is only 10 miles to Pier Park Shopping Center in Panama City Beach where they have a huge movie theater. Winn Dixie, Publix and CVS are only 3 miles away. My favorite restaurants are George's in Alys Beach, Onano in Rosemary and love the new 'Pearl' Hotel. Children are welcome in all the restaurants here and so are your animals allowed to sit outside while you enjoy a cocktail or dinner. The walking/bike trail on 30A is unique to this area and a safe and fun place to enjoy.
