Great Vacation on Powers Lake

My husband and I just spent 5 days at this property and had a great time. We met the owners Eric and his brother when we arrived, and they were very helpful with answering any questions that we had that would make things easier for our stay. The pictures are very accurate , pretty much what you see is what you get. We spent our days on the pier catching panfish and a few others that were not keepers. We brought intertubes with rope and just tied off to the pier or the pontoon raft and swam and floated around and soaked up the sun. Played frisbee in the water and brought the tailgate bags game and were able to play right behind the cottage. I suggest bringing water shoes as the bottom of the lake has rocks and sand and people do fish so you never know if you might happen upon a random hook. Uncle Eds barbeque down the road rents row boats and pontoon boats. If you have your own boat there is a public boat launch across the lake. There is a bait shop in Twin Lakes. You will probably want to bring your own water to drink and or make coffee or tea, as I believe they have well water at this property. We brought food and toiletries and beach towels everything you need is pretty much supplied. People have lots of water toys on this lake we had fun just watching people waterski , wakeboard , just taking leisurely boat rides and fishing. Great neighbors on either side , just had an all around good time. This location may not be very good for people that have limited mobility as you are at a high point on the lake and there are alot of stairs to walk down to get to the pier. You may get greeted by Max the neighbors dog , he is a very friendly .
