Photos and Description of the Edinburgh vacation apartment rental
1 Bedroom, sleeps 2

We challenge you to find a more beautiful one bedroom apartment in Edinburgh!

Large first floor ( high ceilings) one bedroom flat overlooking a private garden in exclusive Georgian cul de sac, off Heriot Row.

The spacious first floor apartment comprises a large double bedroom with en suite. The kitchen area has a gas cooker/ fridge/freezer & dishwasher, and includes a utility area with washing machine & dryer.

The large living room, which overlooks the beautiful private Queen Street Gardens, has a separate dining area. All bedlinen, towels, pillows and duvets are provided.

The apartment is a few minutes from Waverley Station by taxi. Wemyss Place is just off Queen Street, which runs parallel to George Street. The main shopping area of Princes Street is within easy walking distance. The apartment also has a secure parking bay at the rear of the building.

The apartment is in a very quiet area and yet so close to all the amenities and attractions, within walking distance such as Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, with Holyrood Palace a short drive away. There are many bars, restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques several minutes away in Rose Street.

Edinburgh's famous castle is especially beautiful. Upon entering the city, it commands immediate attention. The eye of the visitor is drawn to the impressive structure rising high above everything else on its sheer granite cliffs. There are incredible panoramic views from the upper stories of the castle, including a clear view of the distant sea. The castle sits high on the huge rock formation that juts out as if in defiance of any who would seek to invade Edinburgh. Castle Rock, as it is known, is inaccessible on three sides, and has a long, descending ridge on the fourth side.

Edinburgh is filled with historic and literary association: John Knox, Mary Queen of Scots, Robert Louis Stevenson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (creator of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson), Alexander Graham Bell, Sir Walter Scott, and Bonnie Prince Charlie are all part of its past.

It is a spacious light and airy well appointed appartment. With everything up to the standard one would expect.

We were met each morning by the glorious perfume from the vase of flowers in the lounge, and appreciated having the tea/coffee and goodies "in stock" for our
convenience.

It's central location makes getting around this beautiful city easy.

We would certainly recommend it.

Luxurious, stately, quite, comfortable, accommodating, conveniently located, and in a word "fabulous!". All those characteristics and more apply to this great apartment in Edinburgh's "NewTown" district. Our taxi driver let us off on Queen Street and Weymss Place and as we walked away he called to us saying, "You should know that you are a short distance from everything, including the birthplace of birth Robert Louis Stevenson and Alexander Graham Bell". we didn't know it then but he was correct. Because of its location we didn't see another taxi again until the sad day we left for the airport.
When we walked in we were immediately struck by just how beautiful the rooms were. Well appointed and inviting. A clearly written binder was on the dining room table explaining everything we needed to know about the apartment and how to use the many utilities and devices meant to make our stay worry free as well as a rack by the front door containing brochures for just about any activity imaginable.
As we looked around we were very pleasantly surprised by all the little touches of elegance in evidence. Fresh cut flowers and fruit in a bowl as well as a small selection of chocolates on the dinning room table. The fridge contained water, a small container of milk , some butter and margarine as well. There was also a loaf of bread as well as a selection of Teas. We almost always rent apartments when we travel and I have to say we have never had one so welcoming. Usually our first order of business is to find a market in order to stock up for our stay. In this apartment they made sure we could ease into the vacation and we very much appreciated that gesture. Truly one of a kind!!
The private gardens just across the way were spectacular. The time of year was perfect as the buds were slowly emerging but the tranquil space would be a sanctuary in any season. Many of Edinburgh's major sites are very close, most within a mile of the apartment. Edinburgh Castle, Scottish National Galleries, The Royal Mile, Underground, Waverly Bridge, St Andrews Square, St Giles and many more can be listed. In addition, fabulous restaurants in all price ranges are nearby along Queen Street and one block more to Thistle Street. Like Mark Greenaway's, No. 12 Picardy Place, and Fishers in the City, on Thistle Street. Both put smiles on our faces.
This vacation we fell in love with Edinburgh. That was due in large part to where we chose to stay. We were on vacation but it felt like home!
Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words. We are very happy you enjoyed Edinburgh and the apartment and we do hope to see you again soon.

It was the fourth stay for my wife and I in Edinburgh, but first time in the New Town
We chose this apartment from its location and photos.
On arrive we felt immediatly "sous le charme". All was perfect , clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated.
We spent 8 days of dream and happiness.
After long walks and visits in Old Town and New Town of Edinburgh, what a pleasure to rest in a so calm and relaxing place...
Thanks a lot also for the candies, flowers, soap, creams and ... all the others extra and so kind "petits gestes d'accueil".
An other surprise (very good surprise) is the key to access to the romantic and peaceful "Queen's garden" just in front the flat.
We highly recommand this property and it's sure that we have now found our place for next stays in Edinburgh.
Many thanks to Paul and Pippa for their kindness and helpful.

The apartment is as nice as the photos indicate. The location is even better. I had no knowledge of Edinburgh when we booked this place but it is within walking distance of everything.

The apartment is very comfortable and a relaxing place to come home to. Every detail is thought of with concise information on everything from local restaurants to adjusting the heat.

This is a great get-away place to fantasize about living large in an exclusive part of a beautiful city.

We spent 4 days in Edinburgh during the festival after touring Scotland for 8 days.
The time we spent at this gorgeous flat in the beautiful city was the icing on the cake of the whole trip.
The apartment is equipped with anything you might need (and then some…), the property keeper is very friendly and helpful, the location is great for strolling the city endlessly.
no doubt we will be back sometime (hopefully it will be available).
Thank you very much for a wonderful vacation.

Edinburgh Flat

.My husband and myself recently spent four nights in this gorgeous flat in Edinburgh. From the moment the caretaker Sean welcomed us into the flat we felt wonderful. Sean had seen to everything and the extra touches he provided were very special. Flowers, Candies, starter food in the fridge right down to the wonderful soaps and creams to be used in the bathroom. It is so conveniently located with a beautiful private park right across the street. We went a short walk and came face to face with Edinburgh Castle. Marvelous. If it's your first visit believe me they have provided all kinds of information and brochures to help you. Our trip was too short and I know I will again visit this flat. The restaurants and great shopping are all within walking distance. The coffee shops are everywhere with an abundance of goodies on display. All wonderful. Forget the diet when you visit this wonderful City.I would highly recommend this flat and our dealings with the management company and Sean were terreific. Well done all round.

We loved staying at this apartment! It is a beautiful apartment in a terrific location. It was very clean and tastefully decorated. It has a very lovely updated kitchen with all utensils, tableware, dishwasher, garbage disposal, etc. The bedroom is quite large as is the living room/dining room area. We really appreciated the washer and dryer. The bathroom was also very nice and we especially enjoyed the soaker tub/shower combination. My husband and I appreciated the large selection of brochures/maps/info. about the Edinburgh area. We would definitely stay in the same location again !
