Was it Krisel, Alexander or maybe Wexler? The records are lost but Tamarisk West has the look and feel of the best architects and designers working in Palm Springs in the 50’s and 60’s. The rooms are spacious ceilings are high and there is ample use of natural light throughout. Furnishings in the condo are authentic to the period while appointments have been updated for contemporary lifestyles. It’s simple, tasteful and comfortable.

The master bedroom suite looks out on a screened private patio with mature desert plantings. Open the patio door, step outside and, season permitting, pick some fresh citrus fruit for your breakfast. The bedrooms are separated and provide maximum privacy. Both have in-suite bathrooms and both have separate walk-in closets.
If you enjoy golf there are enough public courses to keep you busy all season and many are no more than a 10 minute drive away. The condo boasts two large pools so take your pick. We live in NYC and fell in love with the desert on our first visit years ago. You can't beat the light, the air and the overall ambience. We are modern furniture collectors and when we saw Tamarisk West we knew we wanted to own something there. We have tried to stay faithful to the period and consider this a work in progress.
Our condo is one of 22 built around a figure 8 with two pools in the middle. It has a intimate feel and there isn't a bad view. The landscaping is lush and citrus fruit trees are abundant--there's an orange, kumquat, and grapefruit tree right outside the rear patio door. The architecture looks like Krisel but has never been authenticated.
The view from the condo is one of the best in the complex---it's a full 180 degrees. Honestly you could spend the day just looking out the front patio doors at the mountains. The condo has a spacious feel with high ceilings in the living/dining area. The closet space is abundant. The condo is designed so that the two bedrooms are very separate and afford maximum privace.
