A Vintage Home - And Great For Dogs!!

This home is like stepping back in time.....everything is vintage. Everything from the pictures in the home, the lamps, and the appliances are vintage. But don't let that dissuade you - everything functions perfectly!
We packed thinking we had to bring spices, certain cooking dishes, etc. But this house really is fully furnished. It had everything you could possibly need.
Our dog enjoyed the property. The gardens on the top of the hill are beautiful. If you feel a little more rugged, you can walk down the hill and enjoy the rest of the property. Our dog sure did and we felt very safe letting her wander at will.
I would highly recommend this vacation rental. We will definitely go back!

House and property were great, and fit our family perfectly for our Christmas getaway. Grounds were great for our four legged friends and the setting and landscaping were beautiful. Though a rainy stay, the house was warm and cozy and met all of our needs. We would definitely stay here again, and would highly recommend it to friends. Home was very well stocked with all of the necessities and just felt like home immediately. Owners were very accomodating with our check in and out times, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming home located in a quiet neighborhood. It was a good location for a girls' weekend, where we were able to hang out outside on the lovely patio, enjoying the beautiful scenery. We were also close enough to be able to tour the wineries during the day and go out to a wonderful restaurant at night. The amenities were perfect for what we needed. It was a nice change from staying in a hotel.

The home was very relaxing and quiet, perfect for a family get-together. The patio was my favorite spot, with its large trees and birds at the bird bath. The kitchen has everything! We loved the mid-century decor, quaint and nostalgic. The beds were comfortable, and everything was spotless. The dog enjoyed the big fenced yard when he was not wine-tasting with us!

Perfect Napa Get Away

Words cannot do justice to how perfect this place is. A charming home nestled on a wooded hilltop in the heart of wine country. Close and remote at the same time. It was tempting to spend the whole trip relaxing on the back deck. And nothing beats bringing home some of the nice wine you just spent the day tasting to enjoy with some nice grilled steaks on this beautiful estate. You cannot go wrong with this rental.

Everything about this house is convenient - the location, using the gate and the keypad entry. Not a single hiccup in being able to get in to the house! Everything was clean and comfortable and the well taken care of original features of the house are great conversation. The back patio was perfect for enjoying wine at the end of the day. I would definitely bring another group here.

ideal Napa stay for family

This home is situated in a suburb of Napa, but on a knoll surrounded by its own little forest. Although you approach through a development, the gate opens onto a completely private little world. You have a view of the valley that is only obstructed by the trees on the property. You feel like you are far off the beaten path, but you are conveniently located less than 10 minutes from Whole foods, Trader Joe's, many restaurants, and access to Rte 29. You are 15 minutes from Caneros wineries like Artesa and within 20 minutes of the restaurant mecca of Yountville.
The house itself has a very well equipped kitchen. If you have family members who like to cook they will be very pleased; the knives are sharp. There is a fully stocked spice cabinet, coffee, tea, oil, vinegar, common condiments like mustard and ketchup, even sesame oil and soy sauce. There is a slow cooker, a deep fryer and a waffle maker, plenty of storage containers for your leftovers too. There is a gas grill and a lovely patio with all the necessary items for outdoor dining including vinyl table cloth with matching plates, napkins, and cups and plastic ware.There is also a washer and dryer and all the necessary soaps, detergents, and cleaning supplies. They even provide shampoo and body lotion. There is plenty of hot water.
While I would rent this property again there are a couple things potential renters should be aware of. There is no dishwasher and the range is electric. The house is pet friendly and that means that after it has been closed up for a while between renters there was a vaguely musty, doggyish odor which dissipated after about 24 hours with the patio sliders and windows open. The house has not been renovated, but is country all the way from the 1950s. The bathrooms and kitchen while completely clean and functional are original to that decor. That sort of thing doesn't matter to us, but if you are looking for modern, up to date, sleek styling similar to what is seen in the Silverado Counrty Club vacation homes, this property would be a big shock.

Secluded garden paradise!

Ideal vacation spot

My husband had business in the Bay Area last summer, and we decided to make a family trip out of it. This rental house made us feel like we were coming home rather than travelling to a strange place. Very comfortable and everything was provided. I wish I had that chest freezer at my house!

Home Away From Home

We came out to California last year for a wedding and were able to house our family and extended family under one roof. Very clean and comfortable accomodations. The only downside was that there was no dishwasher.
