This beautiful and light ‘boutique style’ apartment is situated in the leafy Plantage area which is in the heart of the city of Amsterdam.
It has been completely renovated and lovingly furnished. The spacious apartment has high original ornamental ceilings, a display fireplace and 3 large windows on the North and South side.
The kitchen is like everything else in the apartment – simple, beautiful and high quality and is fully equipped including dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washer/dryer, SMEG hob/oven and granite worktops.
The bathroom includes a large walk-in shower with double basin vanity unit. The bedroom has an original ornamental ceiling, king-sized bed, built-in wardrobes and two large original doors that close the bedroom and bathroom from the open-plan living/kitchen space. The WC/toilet is located separately to the bathroom.
Each piece of furniture has been chosen to create a beautiful and relaxing home. The apartment also has high-speed wireless internet, and a 32-inch Samsung flat-screen TV, DVD player and iPod speaker base.
This first-floor apartment is located very close to the Amsterdam Business School on a leafy and charming street in a quiet residential part of the city.
Within 1-3 mins you can walk to various local cafes, restaurants, bakery, supermarket, book store, Kriterion (arty) movie house, Oosterpark (lovely green park), multiple canals, Artis Zoo and the metro/tram.
Take a 10-15 min (beautiful and safe) walk, and you are out of the calm and tranquility and into the buzzing ‘hub’ of the more crowded, busy, exciting and ‘touristy’ part of the city.
If you are looking for a beautiful, quiet and relaxing well loved ‘home’ to stay in and enjoy while you explore the canals, museums, shops, parks, restaurants and culture of Amsterdam, then this apartment is the perfect choice.
If you are looking for nightlife, partying and a crazy, riotous time – then this apartment nor its location is probably suitable for you.

Either I personally or my great friend Kate that lives on the next street will meet you in person on arrival at the apartment so that we can take you through the check-in process.
This will include welcoming you to the apartment, showing you around, explaining how everything works, giving you the keys, finalising payment for your stay and also answering any questions you might have or help you might need on booking tickets, travel arrangements, things to do and places to see - any questions, suggestions, advice or help you might need to make the most out of your stay in Amsterdam.
Kate is also available throughout your stay to answer any questions, provide suggestions and to generally be on hand should be need help or advice with anything from booking tickets, finding the right restaurant, renting bikes, buying gifts to take home etc.
If you would like to book my apartment, please email me ASAP. I have only recently starting listing my apartment for rental and it's proving to be very popular -which is lovely. So please do email me.
To make a booking, I will need the names of both guests and your home address. Once these details are provided I will email you a simple rental agreement. Once you have read, signed and emailed back this agreement, together with a copy of the photo page from your passport - you are officially booked in.
No payment or deposit is needed upfront. I'm trusting that if you sign and return the rental agreement that you definitely want the apartment and will be there at the agreed check-in date and time. This method has worked very well so far with other guests.
It's a very beautiful apartment - I'm not biased. Honestly.
• This is a strictly no-smoking (of any kind) apartment.
• A 4-night minimum stay applies.
• Longer-term bookings are also available.

Hello! I'm 43, Irish and work for Microsoft. I have a house in Surrey in the UK and am spending more time there and so have decided to share my beautiful Amsterdam 'Roets' apartment with others who are looking for a wonderful and calm oasis to stay while enjoying the many charms of central Amsterdam.
I LOVE the Plantage area of Central Amsterdam. It's green and leafy, charming, full of restaurants and local cafes. It's very safe, very quiet and provides a very local and authentic Amsterdam.
It's the old Jewish quarter and is steeped in history. The location is BEAUTIFUL. In the heart of the city and yet away from the tourists and crowds.
I bought in this area because I have great friends closeby and I love the mix of people and how quiet it is even though in the heart of the city.
This area of Amsterdam is incredibly beautiful. Quiet, relaxed, residential, friendly, safe and full of culture, museums, canals and the Amsterdam University.
Locals sitting outside in the sunshine in cafe terraces, children playing, students at the University and locals going about their daily lives.
