Beautifully furnished, outdoor/heated covered pool
Sidney 2 Bedroom Apartment is front line and within a small walking distance of La Cala de Finestrat beach. This two bedroom apartment has 2 balconies, one with beach views and the other overlooking the communal swimming pool.
The apartment is very modern tastefully furnished with 2 leather sofas and glass dining and coffee tables. There is air conditioning/heating(metered), large flat screen TV showing English programmes, also DVD player. The main bedroom has an en-suite and there is a separate w/c shower room. The kitchen is fully fitted with oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine, all cooking utensils etc are also provided. The balcony is equipped with table and chairs for 'alfresco' dining. There is a communal swimming pool which converts to indoor use when the weather gets colder. The beach bars restaurants are within a 2 minute walk.

MY STAY AT THE SIDNEY APARTMENTS

I visited the Sidney Apartment in Cala de Finestrat in September of this year, and was not disappointed by its facilities. It is equipped and of a very high standard, and it is spotlessly clean. The location of the apartment is a two minute walk to the lovely sandy beach, local shops, and restaurants. A key holder is available should any emergencies occur. The property would be suitable to all age groups.
Cala de Finestrat is within walking distance to Benidorm. We walked it in 30 minutes along the beautiful coast.There is also an excellent bus service costing one euro twenty per journey from the resort to Benidorm, and it runs till late at night for anyone wanting the busy night life of Benidorm.
I enjoyed my holiday so much that i am returning in March of 2009.

We stayed at this apartment in September 2011, it was exactly as it was described. A well maintained, clean and modern property. Rooms were spacious and well decorated, and all the modern appliances you could ask for, it felt like home from home.
It is close to the bay beach and a variety of bars, restaurants and shops. The restaurants on the Boulevard had 5 course menus that included wine and bread, a good selection of dishes and good quality food all for 8.90 euros. Well worth a try!
The only down side, disappointed with the pool,covered in and with lots of restrictions. However, it meant we spent all our time on the beautiful beach and around the bay. Would recommend it to anyone after a stress free relaxing holiday.
There are regular buses into neighbouring towns and theme parks and for those after a livelier holiday a regular bus service into Benidorm.
The whole experience from booking the holiday to returning home has been an excellent one.

Family getaway in Cala Finestrat

I stayed in the Sydney apartment at Cala Finestrat for one week in the middle of August.
As we were only holidaying for a week we decided against renting a car. Joan arranged for us to be picked up from the airport and dropped off directly outside the apartment where we were greeted by the man who looks after the apartment.
The apartment was everything it stated on the website. The beach was only a short walk down a slight hill and the view from the main balcony is exactly as it is in the property pictures.
The pool at the apartments was on the small side but never that busy. We only used it a couple of times as we preferred the beach and the sea.
The cafes and bars on the beach are all very nice and the prices are very reasonable.
The beach itself is superb. I couldn't find a single pebble on it. The sea was also lovely and shallow. You could walk out about 100 feet and the water would still only be at chest height.We bought a couple of cheap lilos from one of the shops at the beach, however, these did have a tendency to blow across the beach if left unattended, as the refreshing sea breeze could be quite strong at times (watch out for flying beach umbrellas). The beach, although small looking on the website, has ample room for everyone. The Spanish get there early but all disappear at lunchtime and return about four or five o'clock.
During our stay there was a market,on the road at the bottom of the apartments, which I understand is there twice a week, selling just about everything you could ever need. The fruit is about half the price it is in the shops.Also, most nights, there was a market at the beach, ideal for buying junk jewellery and leather goods.
We went into Benidorm by bus a couple of times, only 5 euros for a family of four, and got taxis back, about 10 euros.
Terra Mitica is great, but as with all Theme parks, be prepared to queue for some rides.Aqualandia was good, but the rings you can hire are very very heavy and not ideal for small children to manoeuvre.
All in all we had a very lovely holiday and have recommended the apartment and the area to our relatives with younger children.
