Nice apartment, clean, functional
It was very nice to find a bottle of wine on the table when we arrived in the apartment. The place is relatively quiet, a bit dark inside, it looks nice from the outside and it is a comfortable, easy to maintain vacation rental. We were able to cook in the kitchenette and there is a good size Coles grocery store about 1.5 km away. Oxford street is a short walk away, Crown street a long walk away. The apartment is placed very centrally in the city so everything is quickly accessible with a car and it's easy to get back to the place.
The washer/dryer combo is great, there is a vacuum cleaner, clean fridge, clean sheets and towels with enough to change and wash. Enough dishes, glasses, cutlery, etc... to share a meal with a small group of people.
I will note the following negatives:
1) Parking is terrible in Sydney, and there isn't a dedicated parking spot for this apartment, so we had to park on the street, sometimes a 5 minutes walk away, with requirement to move the car after 1 or 2 hours. Although we eventually found a spot in the front every day. The spots in front of the apartment are hard to get, especially when there is a game in the stadium across the street. Note that there is a garage downstairs, but we weren't allowed to park there.
2) We paid 8 dollars a day for internet. At that price I expected solid broadband speed, but really got at best 56k, with intermittent disconnections. In my opinion, these days, broadband / high speed internet should not even be an option, I intended to use it to discover things to do and places to go, but the service as it was made it difficult and time consuming to search.
3) No AC.
4) The bed felt small, we are used to king size, but this felt like double size.
Overall, the price feels high for the quality compared to a hotel, but it was nice to have a kitchenette and washer/dryer.
