Fabulous week at Casa Pino Solo

We were so lucky to arrive to blue skies and sunshine for the start of our fabulous week at Casa Pino Solo. The fact that the swimming pool is heated is a huge plus at this time of year and made it possible for the whole family, including 5 year old and 1 year old grandchildren, to swim happily in the pool for long periods. Then of course there is the brilliant, HUGE jaccuzzi to get into to warm up after the swim.......or to indulge with a glass of excellent Spanish Cava and admire the sensational views. The villa is set in the midst of beautiful rolling hills, olive groves, and the view from the upper terrace is really uplifting. The location of the villa is ideal as it is close to the charming village and lake of Iznajar and for the more adventurous, Cordoba, Granada and Seville are all reachable. But as all reviewers have said, this property and this holiday is made extra special by the lovely owners, Lisa and Nige, who go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met and that nothing should get in the way of you having a perfect holiday. I have never felt so well looked after on holiday, thank you Lisa and Nige for a fantastic week for the whole family.

Our Second Stay At Casa Pino Solo

As this was the families second visit to this wonderful villa in iznajar, as expected it was an absolute pleasure. Lisa and Nigel met us when we got there with open arms and such a pleasant welcome, they really did make us feel at ease with everything. During our stay we soon came to realise nothing was ever too much for them both.
This villa is definitely a first class recommendation with 5 stars. A low rating for fitness centre just because I'm now a fitness fanatic and although my workouts by the pool side were satisfactory nothing could beat my gym at home. The location is gorgeous but as we didn't hire cars we did not find this a problem - relying on Lisa and Nigel providing us with information for taxis - again always willing to help.
On another pleasant note, The beautiful log fire in the living room was absolute gorgeous. Making it that extra harder to leave this beautiful, tranquil villa set in the beautiful iznajar. It's enough to make anyone not miss home.
Truly thankful and ever so grateful for everything they did for us during our stay - living in absolute luxury!!

Renewing Our Wedding Vows !

My husband decided he wanted us to renew our wedding vows,on our 10th wedding anniversary with all the family present,somewhere warm! Not an easy request to fulfil when our wedding anniversary is in November. I searched the Internet and came across Casa Pino Solo,how lucky was I,a villa that would accommodate all the family and at the same time let us all have our individual space,a great idea when there are so many different age groups.
After lots of emails with Lisa,she was able to arrange everything that I wanted and more!. I had a clear idea of what I wanted,the cakes and flowers were beautiful. The service was great and everything was included that we wanted! The sun even came out for the day,I think Lisa even arranged that for us too!. We had flamingo dancers in the evening which were great,even though it was cold,Nigel arranged all the patio heaters for us,everything was thought out for us to enjoy ourselves and we did-thank you so much Lisa & Nigel.
The rest of the holiday,well what can I say,it was great even though we had a couple of days rain,we were still able to enjoy ourselves,there are so many things at the villa to keep everyone amused,the kids never once said they were bored!.
Lisa and Nigel are brilliant hosts,they gave us so much information when we wanted to go anywhere,even arranging to drop one of us at the bar and picking him up again!.
Lisa arranged for us to eat out when we wanted to and even arranged the taxis for us!
The night before we came home,the bars were shut for food locally and we did not really want to travel,Lisa arranged for one of the local bar owns to cook us some food and deliver it to us,WHAT A SERVICE!.
We cannot fault anything at the villa and Lisa and Nigel are brilliant,they really made our Wedding Renewal a great day and our holiday was excellent!

Amongst Olive Groves,5 Star Luxury And Service

“Amongst olive groves, 5 star luxury and service”
A lot has been written about Casa Pino Solo and about the owners Lisa and Nigel. I can confirm that it’s all true and it’s all great.
We’ve been lucky enough to have done some travelling around the USA; Europe; Africa and Asia and we’ve seen what the word “service” means to the different countries.
I can confidently say that Lisa and Nige are right there at the top with the best of them in terms of their genuine kindness and attention to detail, discreetly ensuring everything is perfect for those staying.
A few examples of their great service, but I could have chosen several more:
• I hired a satnav to get the family from Malaga to the ‘cortijo’ (casapinosolo) but thanks to their clear directions and tips to where the satnav is likely to get in wrong I never needed take it out of the box the whole week. If asked, they will guide you clearly and in helpful terms to wherever you want to go, near or far;
• They will get whatever supplies you ask for ahead of your arrival and will stock the larder; fridges and freezers. Essential for weekend arrivals when many shops shut on Sundays, when you want to get straight into the chilling-out business and of course to avoid the siesta;
• Nige had already advised us to park in the small market square in Iznajar if ever we went there and not to venture further by car or else you could easily find yourself in very narrow and vertiginous lanes that take you up to the top of the (very nice sights for the passengers, I’m sure) hill-top village and down again. Predictably, on a snap family decision to try and find the Iznajar lake beach on our own I missed the small square and could not avoid the village one-way system. By a huge slice of luck. Lisa and Nigel were taking their pets to the nearby vets that day and somehow spotted our motor and us going the wrong way. They took a detour, waited at the bottom for our eventual descent, made sure we knew our route and only then resumed their own journey. Nothing seems too much trouble;
Nige and Lisa are well known and respected in the area and can point you to recommended local places to eat; drink or even get food delivered. We did all of that. There’s helpful guest comments in the visitors books throughout the property.
We were a small family group of 7 (plus a newborn) who treated ourselves to the whole huge property. Despite quite a few showers we found the weather can change very quickly

Wonderful holiday

Our 4th visit to this wonderful villa.
Facilities are superb for groups and families of all ages. Villa is spotlessly clean, pool is heated which is great for October although our weather lovely when we were there. Hot tub was a hit with everyone and there is nothing better than relaxing in it and looking out at the amazing scenery that surrounds you.
Lisa and Nigel are the perfect hosts and will do anything they can to make your holiday fabulous.
We leave with more great memories and can't wait to return next year!

Golden Wedding Family Holiday

I was part of the family holiday that stayed at Casa Pino Solo during August that other reviewers have already posted about below.
I felt I wanted to post, albeit a bit later than others, because I wanted you to know how wonderful a place it is for a holiday and how wonderful Nige & Lisa are at looking after you.
I know before we went on the holiday my wife was concerned that with Nige going to be coming every day we wouldn't have our privacy, but this fear was totally unfounded, as having Nige come to check things is a massive plus and gives you an opportunity to ask any questions and know that things are being looked after well.
Nothing's a trouble for Nige and Lisa and this is just as big a selling point for the holiday as the wonderful villa.
Having mentioned the villa, just make sure you get the roof terrace apartment, as it is the best room in the house! Guess which room we had ;-)
Overall it was a fantastic holiday, a fantastic villa and the owners are two fantastic people.
I have no hestiation in thoroughly recommending this villa to anyone

Our family were looking for a villa to celebrate our parent's Golden Wedding anniversary and we (thankfully!) found Casa Pino Solo after some internet research.
Rooms are very comfortable and extremely clean, with attention to detail such as all the kitchen equipment needed for both formal and informal dining. The bathrooms were lovely and the bedrooms spacious and comfortable. The pool was amazing, and we spent many fun hours lying on the sun terraces, cooling down in the pool or relaxing in the hot tub. Thankfully, the pool and table tennis tables kept the younger at heart from getting bored, and the dart board proved to be a success too!
The location is a big plus - close to the lake for trips kayaking and sunbathing, and near to the village of Iznajar for shopping and amenities. Many local bars and restaurants and the local supermarket for stocking up on the fab food and drink of the region. We also found the location excellent for day trips out - which included Granada (excellent market!) Seville (gorgeous scenery/buidlings and of course more shops!) Torremolinos for the water park and alhambra Palace.
Finally - the villa owners. We have stayed in villas across Europe and the us and have never found the owners to be so helpful. The biggest difference to the success of this holiday was the two lovely people who own it, and who really make it their business to ensure that everything goes according to plan and nothing is too much trouble to them. Their advice, guidance, support and local knowledge really helped us all - and they deserve so much credit for our holiday being so wonderful. Would love to think we could go back again - as I'm sure there's loads we haven't seen in the 2 weeks we were lucky enough to be there.
We would not hesitate for a second to recommend this villa to any age group - can I please give it 10 stars instead of just 5???!!! Thanks Lisa & Nigel for everything you did for us - 1000 stars to you two!!!

Another fantastic holiday at Casa Pino Solo

Just had another brilliant week at Casa Pino Solo. After spending a fab week there for my Hen Do with all my girlfriends, I made a promise that I would return with my "new" husband and family for a holiday and all I can say is the facilities at the Villa have got even better ! How many Villa's have Sky Sports and free Wifi ? Not to mention the new "all singing all dancing" Hot Tub ! We ate well, we had authentic Paella delivered one night, another day Pizza's and on Sunday Spit Roast Chicken we had ordered from the local bar/restaurant
Because the Villa is so large and has so many different areas, even though there was 15 of us we never felt crowded and everyone had there own space to do there own thing, if they wanted.
Even the beach at Iznajar Lake is better ! You can now hire kayaks and little sail boats amongst other things and there is a cafe there for refreshments.
Looking forward to our next visit, thanks Lisa and Nige for allowing us to share your fabulous Villa

The perfect wedding

What can I say... our wedding holiday at Casapinosolo was everything we dreamed and more! From the first email sent over a year ago to arriving home in the UK last week, Lisa and Nige have been the most amazing people. Any little question was answered so quickly by Lisa I thought this lady must sleep with her laptop! They are the most friendly, genuine, hardworking people we have ever met and we are so happy that our special day took place at their amazing villa.
The villa itself is an absolute gem. It has all the luxury and amenities you could want in such beautiful surroundings, but is also within good driving distance to so many things. But we really didn't need to leave the villa, it had everything for our family and friends of all ages.
Lisa and Nige made sure we had everything we needed and always went the extra mile. When it came to our special day we can't thank them enough. Absolutely everything went perfectly! I also have to say that everything Lisa and Nige recommended and organised for us was first class.
I think I was the most relaxed bride you have ever seen! How many people can say that on their wedding day! It really is an amazing place which made our wedding day so unique I will never forget it (or everything Lisa and Nige have done for us).
Now I just can't wait to come back for our anniversary!

I have just returned from a week at the Casa Pino Solo and I can truly say that my party of 15 had a wonderful and relaxing holiday. Lisa and Nigel who own the Villa help you plan things from start to finish to make the whole experience run as smooth as possible.
The Villa is wonderful, all of the rooms are beautifully furnished and the disabled room with access to the pool area was fantastic for my daughter who is in a wheelchair.
We did not hire a car for our trip but still managed to visit the local restaurants by a short taxi drive and we had a trip to the coast via a coach that Lisa helped to organise. Our last day was spent at the Iznajar beach camp and swimming in the lake was fantastic (especially as the temperatures were in the 40's).
Lisa and Nigel cannot do enough for you, arranging shopping, trips out, bbq's and curry nights and even giving the minibus driver directions for our pickup on the last day. I would not hesitate to recommend this to large parties looking for a relaxing holiday in beautiful surroundings
