Our beautiful Mandalay Shores home, just one block from the sand, is ready and waiting for your arrival. The first level features the primary living spaces (living room, kitchen, dining room, den, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and an oudoor patio), and the second level features a private, spacious and light-filled Master Retreat.
The living room features a wood-burning fireplace, stereo system, and a high-definition TV, with Time Warner cable and Blu-Ray disc player. The cabinets are filled with DVDs, CD's and board games for your use. The kitchen is fully equipped with quality stainless steel appliances: double-oven, microwave, gas range, refrigerator with filtered water and ice maker, and a quiet Bosch dishwasher. Dishes, utensils and serving platters are provided, as well as items for baking. There's no need to bring anything - except your own food.
The den features a flat-screen TV and is an excellent place to relax. The outdoor patio features a gas BBQ grill, a water fountain and comfy seating. A great place for reading the morning paper with a cup of tea, or socializing while BBQing on the grill.
Bedroom 1 has one double bed and an attached bathroom ('Bathroom 1') that is also accessible from the den. Bathroom 1 has a shower. Bedroom 2 has one queen bed and a bathroom ('Bathroom 2') just across the hall. This bedroom looks out into the beautiful outdoor patio. The patio is also accessible from this bedroom. Bathroom 2 has a tub with a shower.
Walk up the stairs and enter into the Master Retreat. This expansive 2-room suite features a sitting area on one side and a sleeping area (with a CA King bed) on the other side. There is a walk-in closet, with access to the deck. The deck is also accesible from the large bathroom, which has a separate toilet room, a two-person shower 'room,' double-sinks and a jetted tub. A Klipsh stereo is ready for your iPod. We purposely left out the TV in the Master Retreat because we want it to be a place to relax. The wide rear balcony (not to be confused with the deck) is accesible from both the sitting and sleeping areas through patio doors. It's a perfect place for sunning and reading while feeling the ocean breezes.
Mandalay Shores is the perfect 'home base' for exploring the Central Coast. Santa Barbara is a quick 30 min. drive up the coast; Magic Mountain is 45 min. east on the 126 Fwy; The Cities of Camarillo, Ventura and Thousand Oaks are just a short drive away. Channel Islands National Park can be reached by boat from Channel Islands or Ventura Harbor. Surfing opportunities abound....Oxnard Shores, C Street, Mondo's (great for beginners) and Rincon. Hiking...Santa Monica Mountains, Wildwood Cyn in Thousand Oaks, Ventura. There's so much to do...this is the perfect place to come home to.

We are a very active and outdoorsy family. We come to the Shores to relax and recharge.
We chose Oxnard Shores because it's a great place to surf, run and play, without all the crowds. The beach is private and the locals are very low key and unpretentious. It's a great place to unwind...or be active.
Going to the beach in Oxnard Shores is unlike going to other beaches in SoCal. It's never crowded (except for July 4) and the people are very low-key. Oxnard Beach Park is nearby and it's a great place to walk, ride a bike, play volleyball, fly a kite or do yoga. Additionally, the playground is awesome for kids and there are (public) BBQ grills available in the park (just get there early to snag one, especially on the weekends).
