Forest Hills 11 is a luxury 3 bedroom villa at Royal Westmoreland on the glorious west coast of Barbados.
The villa has 3 bedrooms each with en-suite, two bedrooms are in the main house and the third is in a detached cottage set within the villa’s front garden. In 2013 we have re-tiled the property throughout, redecorated and refitted the two main bedrooms and en-suites. We have also upgraded the kitchen including fitting new dishwasher and oven.
Royal Westmoreland is a secure, gated community with a 24 hour manned security gate. The villa is approximately 40 minutes drive from Grantley Adams Airport, a meet and greet service is available if required.. The villa has parking spaces for 2 vehicles. Guests enjoy the benefits of concessionary rates for golf, buggy included. Other resort facilities are floodlit tennis courts, swimming pool and the recently refurbished and extended gymnasium at the Sanctuary. At peak times of the year there is an excellent children’s club available at an additional cost. Forest Hills guests also enjoy the exclusive use of our community swimming pool.

Our home is in Portishead, just off Junction 19 of the M5 near Bristol where we have lived for 30 years. We have been married for over forty years, have two sons, both married, and three grandchildren.
We bought the villa in 2003 after visiting Barbados many times. The principal attraction with owning a property at Royal Westmoreland was of course the Robert Trent Jones designed Championship golf course, we both play golf, although not very well, and enjoy the considerable challenge that the course presents. Another important consideration in owning a home abroad is security, the knowledge that you can lock it up when you leave and it will remain secure until your return. Royal Westmoreland is a gated resort with 24/7 security and we always feel that our home is totally secure, both whilst we are there and when we leave. Another great feature is that, although the villa is not on the beach, ownership includes the Royal Westmoreland Beach Club at Mullins with free use of sun loungers.
Our villa at Forest Hills is one of 34 that enjoy the benefits of being a separate community within the overall resort, we have our own pools, adult and childrens, that are for the exclusive use of Forest Hills owners, their guests and renters and also our communal gardens. We have just converted the pools to salt water for a better swimming experience. We try to visit the villa ourselves for about 12 weeks per year and as such have tried to make it feel like our home away from home with many personal features. We have a collection of local artworks, paintings by well known artists mostly and have over the years been refurnishing the villa to our own tastes, an ongoing process.
