The Villa was fantastic! Just as described in the property review, the owners made booking & arrangments very easy, the villa is well positioned & very peaceful, locals very friendly, Hudson was a very pleasant surprise with plenty of places to explore, with Busch Garden very close & the Disney parks 1 & 3/4 hours away we had the best of both worlds (You will need a hire car) We took advantage of the golf course & had a great day. We would certainly return when possible & recommend the villa to anybody looking for a relaxing holiday with the option to check out the Disney parks.

Owner's Response: Once again it is a real pleasure to get such strong feedback from our visitors - it really makes all the time and effort we have put into the house worthwhile.
We are delighted that Kevin and his family enjoyed not only the villa but the area. We definately agree that the Hudson location gives the best of both worlds. Whilst the house is located in a quiet cul de sac (no outlet) you have a Publix supermarket, a diner, and two 24 hr pharmacies within walking distance.
Looking slightly further afield there are great beaches, excellent shopping malls and great restaurants all with in a very short drive. And of course there is the golf course upon which the house sits - albeit 40 yards back from the fairway thereby ensuring you are not disturbed.
As Kevin and his family found the course itself is very well laid out and very welcoming, and at £18 per round including an electric golf buggy extremely well priced. The staff that work in the club house are very friendly and equally importantly are well up to date on football results back here in England!
Whilst Disney is one of Florida's more obvious attractions and definately worth seeing, most people who have stayed at the house seem to prefer the wonderful mixture of rides, animals and attractions that Busch Gardens has to offer, and at only 45 mins drive from the house it really is worth visiting.
For a great night out you can visit the wonderful selection of bars, restaurants and night clubs in Ibor City which is a suburb part of Tampa.
Also there are the local beeches in both Port Richey and New Port Richey as well as a little further south at Clearwater Beach - one of Florida's best - and only 45 minutes drive. Furthermore Caladessi Island and Pine Island are also very worthwhile.
The beach at Hudson is fine for taking fishing or surfing trips but the beach itself is not really of a good enough standard to want to visit simply for swimming or sunbathing.
For anyone wishing to book our villa we do have a wealth of local knowledge having stayed in the area many many times - all you need to do is ask!

This is an extremely well equipped, clean and very comfortable place to stay. The rear of the villa overlooks a golf course and is in a very quiet location. It is within walking distance of a supermarket which stays open until 9.00 pm, (Publix) and another, Winn Dixie, is just a short drive away for even more selection. Also within walking distance is Rams Family Diner for a huge choice of breakfasts and other meals throughout the day. Hudson itself is a very convenient location for many activities - beaches, shopping (three big shopping malls are within 45 minutes drive - we did most of our Christmas shopping at these) and there are so many restaurants you will have difficulty making a choice! However, should you decide to eat in and relax by the pool, the kitchen is very well equipped! Busch Gardens is also only 45 minutes away - we did the Christmas themed event one evening which had a magical feel to it but some of the popular roller coasters were closed.
We have been to this part of Florida three times now and there is still so much to see and do - would love to visit again.

Quiet comfortable family getaway

We arrived late at night and were pleasantly surprised by the house. It's spacious, nicely decorated and very comfortable. The owners have put a lot of effort into making the home convenient for renters. Our large family had plenty of room to spread out (the split bedroom layout is great, lots of privacy in the master bedroom and room for the kids to be kids). Everyone LOVED the heated pool. It's located in a very quiet neighborhood, yet close to shopping and restaurants. It's not in the middle of a busy tourist area (like Clearwater beach), but we were well aware of that when we booked our stay. I'd recommend it for anyone looking to get away from it all. The owners were extremely professional and easy to deal with. We were 100% satisfied and would love to stay again sometime!

Sue and James, thanks so much for everything. A perfect holiday at a perfect area and a perfect house. You are one of the reason why our summervacation was so perfect, not just by renting us your beautiful Villa, but also all the advices regarding everything, yes everything -what to do-where to eat-where to go and how get most out of these 3 weeks that we spent in your Villa in Hudson. Everything was exactly as descriped, by you (Sue and James) and your caretakers where so helpful regarding things we needed when we arrived.
Hudson is a very safe and quiet town and we loved the stay there. Puplix supermarket just across the street. Short distances to Pine Island beach, saw dolphins everytime we went there and we could almost touch them. We went to Clearwater Beach, St.Pete Beach, Buch Gardens, Adventure Island, Orlando, Tampa and of course spent little to much time in shopping malls :). So as you can read we, family of four, where so pleased with everthing that we want to go again next year and can recomend this Villa to everyone, even my mother in law and that is a big thing.

The villa is great, lovely area, nice peaceful location lovely sitting out in the pool area overlooking the golf course. It is very well equipped with everything needed for your holiday. It has ample room for 8 people and is very well laid out. The owners are very friendly and helpful taking the time to ask about your stay etc.
The villa is in a great location as it is peaceful yet close to shops/pharmacies/petrol station and also not too far away from Tampa (for Busch gardens) Clearwater and of course the lovely beach at pine island. We enjoyed our stay very much and would have no hesitation in highly recommending it to others. Thanks to both Sue and James.

'Home from home' fully equipped and accurate description. Lovely location overlooking golf course, peaceful and relaxing. We are a family of four and the holiday was well suited to our needs. Clean & well maintained property, particularly enjoyed the indoor/outdoor retro sound system! We were welcomed at the beginning of our stay by the onsite caretaker and had contact details should the need arise.
Ate out frequently at a range of restaurants and particularly liked 'Catches', 'Sam's' and a Greek night at Tarpon Springs. Visited Clearwater pier 60, Tampa aquarium & shopping malls, Busch Gardens & adventure Island water park and Howard park.
Loved the whole experience, would (& have) recommend to friends, didn't want to come home!

*****We stayed at this property the month of Jan.2012 and were very impressed. Had everything we needed and more. Very clean home,spacious,very well laid out with a lovely heated pool overlooking the golf course. Very relaxing to see the golfers go by on their golf carts etc. Weather was wonderful, warm during the day, cool nights for sleeping.
Stores and restaurants close by. Our favourite was "Catches" in New Port Ritchie and "Sams at the beach" for watching the sunset. Also good food at the Italian place for take out just around the corner near Publix.
The owners were very helpful from the start and made our stay very pleasant. Also the caretakers on site were very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Hudson.
We cannot wait to go back and we would highly recommend this home to our family and friends.

Great Villa

Our group had a great time in this very large, nice villa! The villa had everything we needed and plenty of space. The area was nice and quiet, and just a short distance to some really great beaches, restaurants and other area attractions. We loved being able to explore all the area beaches and busier towns, then come back and relax in the nice quiet pool overlooking the golf course.
The owners and caretaker made the reservation and check in/out so easy!

House is beautiful. There are 3 beaches about half hour drive that are not so good :-( lots of grass, stones in the water. We drove 1 hr to Clearwater beach and beach there is awesome. Lots of things for kids to play and see. If you are going with kids as far as home goes it's ok but beaches are not. We had a good time at the house and pool is awesome. There is garage that can fit only one car. Grill is also at the house, in the back yard on the sun, no shade at all when you are making barbeque. There is a large gas barbeque in the garage but its looked because its for owners use only :-( We have seen a snake outside the fense on the golfcourse that was pretty large and not a garden snake. Community is 55+ so its very quiet and nothing to do. There are lots of restaurants in the area but more of family restaurants and not some known chains of restaurants. Once again if you are coming with kids, not a good city to stay at. But if you are looking for place that is very quiet and all you wanna do is stay at the house and be in the pool then this is the place for you. Fridge is not cooling enough so we had to put water in the freezer and then take it out. Also there is a crib at the house but its the one where one side drops down, which I personally didnt think it was safe since there is a recall on every drop side crib and its not even selling at the stores anymore.
Hope my review helps to who ever reads it. Once again house is more than beautiful, but area very quiet and beaches are bad.
Also my son needed medical attention asap due to a rash, and when we took him to the walk in clinic after 1 1/2 hrs of waiting they told us that doctor doesnt see kids on the weekend. Even though I called before going there to check they wouldnt see my son. So we ended up taking him to walgreens to one minute clinic (they have nurses at the store, not every store though, you have to call and ask which one has one minute clinic) and he was seen there.
Rooms are spacious, living area is huge, there is 2 family rooms each with tv's.

Owner's Response: Also please note we do have a 2 car garage and unless the beaches or the house have moved there are several nice beaches within 4 or 5 miles drive of the house. Crib is due to be replaced start of August as we were only recently made aware of this requirement and all Florida rentals have been given until the end of 2011 to attend to this.
