Maui Sands was exactly as described. It was comfortable, pleasant. clean, quiet and private and it had everything we needed. It wasn't slick or gimmicky but sentimental and sweet. The owner was helpful and generous. There were good places to shop for food or eat out within walking distance.

Fun relaxing stay!

My partner and I had a great experience at this condo. The decor is tasteful and comfortable. The kitchen had every utensil and appliance we needed. The location was great! Close to many beaches and fish tacos! Loved visiting the ABC store for spam musubis and last minute beer runs. I would love to stay here again.

Just got back from an amazing stay here. This condo has everything, is on a great property, and is away from all the big sterile tourist resorts. If you want to be amongst the locals, be a block or two's walk from everything you need or want (markets, shops, restaurants, the ocean), and not feel like part of the tourist herd, then this is the place. The owners have family on the island and even in the condo next door. Their gracious, incredibly knowledgable, and made our stay all that much better.
We were looking forward to a great stay and this was better than expected. If you're going to Maui's west coast, you should definitely consider staying here.

Perfect Vacation

My husband, daughter and I took a trip to Maui to celebrate her graduation from grad school. This was the most relaxing trip I've had in thirty years. The weather was absolutely perfect and the condo couldn't have been better. There was plenty of room for all of us and our biggest problem was leaving the lanai because it was so comfortable. We snorkeled off the dock on the property as well as other fantastic spots around the island. We loved walking to Duke's for dinner and happy hour. We used the poolside grill and shopping for groceries was conveniently located. I read eight books, which is an all time vacation record. Thanks for sharing your vacation home and we are planning on a return trip as soon as possible.

Family of three called this cozy, well maintained condo our base camp while exploring Maui. The photos exactly represent this condo and property. Great beaches for swimming, lounging and snorkeling are within a few minute drive. Here are our "musts"- breakfast at the Gazebo, DT Fleming beach park, The Fish Market, Lahina for Cheeseburger in Paradise, Maui Mike's for shave ice-daily.

Nice little apartment. Everything is conveniently located within 20 minutes driving distance.
The beaches are beautiful, and you can hear the waves from the ocean as you sleep!

My husband and I stayed at this lovely condo in January of this year. It was the perfect place for just the two of us. The folks who live there were extremely friendly and welcoming. We ate tons of fresh fish from the local market and took advantage of the outside grills. We watched the sunsets from their lovely sundeck almost every night. Our favorite restaurants were Duke's and the Sea House. Dollies was a fun place for "happy hour"....lots of locals and aloha!!!! You don't really need to rent a car because there are lots of stores very close by. There's a bus that passes by once an hour and only costs $2.00 to ride for the entire day. Lahaina Town is about a 10 to 15 minute ride and it is very cool! Great restaurants, local history and of course great shopping!! Alot of charter boats go out from this location. We went on a "whale watch" which was wonderful, a "star gazing" evening boat ride with a local Astronomer and we also did the helicopter tour over Molokini and the western Maui Mts. which was awesome! We saw a mother whale with her newborn riding on her back and also a school of black rays (about 800 lbs. each) We saw lots of whales right off the beach along with the large green sea turtles, crabs, flying fish and dolphins too. Great snorkeling right off the sundeck around the reefs. Crystal clear water and the warmth of the weather sun. Doesn't get much better for mid-January!! This was by far one of the most relaxing vacations we have had. We're already making plans to return next year.
