A newly completed cottage on 2.5 acres of woodland with 150 feet of lakeshore on Cargill Pond in Liberty, Maine. Cargill Pond has no public access and is approximately 1 mile long, making it a very quiet oasis for your vacation. Peace and tranquility reign as most watercraft are non-motorized on the pond.
There is a sunny outdoor seating area looking towards the pond with a gas grill for outdoor eating. At the lake shore there is a picnic table and chairs surrounding a fire pit for nightly fires and smores eating! The property also has two kayaks, a rowboat and a canoe available for guests to use. On the water there are two docks for swimming and boating and offshore a swim float with a slide.
The master bedroom is on the first floor with both bathrooms, with the sleeping loft up a spiral staircase that sleeps 4. The open plan living and dining room and the kitchen have magnificent views to the lake through large windows and french doors. The kitchen is well appointed.
Please note we are unable to accept any pets at this property no matter how well behaved.
We bought the land in 2004 and slowly Gary cleared space for the cottage and then took about 5 years to design and build what you see now. A lot of thought went into the placement of the cottage as well as the flow of the living space. It works and we love it...one day we will sell our other house and move out here...in the meantime come and see what we love.
Cargill Cottage allows you to escape from your normal life, slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of Maine. Plenty of things to do around the pond or locally.
