We live in the hustle and bustle of NYC and desperately needed a weekend in the country. Jamie couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. His house is set atop a hill, with massive views of a swimming hole and their 25 acres of property. There's a great hiking trail down to a stream, which our dog couldn't have loved more. The house itself is lavishly appointed as only an interior designer could style, and they didn't miss ANYTHING- from All Clad pans, to fire starters,incredible art and even a few extra beers in the fridge, we really felt "at home". Thanks again for a great stay- we will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic! The decor is so cool and one can tell great care was taken to achieve this result. The house was clean and comfortable. We spent 3 days in pure relaxation....you can walk the woods...drive to the shops or just sit and chill in front of the fire. The listing was accurate and Jamie made sure we felt "at home" right away. Such a gem... I've rented a number of "getaways" over the past two years and this one has been the most perfect. We will be back many times... Thank you Jamie for allowing us to invade your piece of paradise!

It's true. This house is a hidden gem, and the entire property is beautiful.
When my wife and I first walked into the house, we were thrilled by the style and design in the home. It just elevates your entire experience being surrounded by beauty inside as well as outside. Our bed was really comfortable and clean, with great pillows, and a beautiful open view of outside when you wake. The bathroom was clean and stocked with towels. We made a complete Thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen. It's not large , but everything you need is there, including a dishwasher. And it's open to the dining and living area-- where we enjoyed the fireplace and a glass of wine while we cooked.
There is a great tennis court right on the property. As well as a lovely pond and trails through the woods. The owners couldn't have been more gracious and welcoming. They were a pleasure to rent from.
There are many nice little towns not far from this property, filled with fun shops.
Close by, we especially liked Saunderkill Farms for all types of fresh baked goods, and morning coffee. And unique jams and gourmet foods. A little further down is a great furniture store called SPRUCE, with vintage and new pieces for the home , along with original artwork and jewelry. Great things there !
Our stay was wonderful. And I would highly recommend this house . The only drawback to writing this review--is that this special house might be booked the next time we plan on visiting.....Enjoy !
