After enjoying all that Austin has to offer, come back and relax at a fully remodeled historical Victorian home in the heart of downtown. Unwind in the cozy living room or out on the back deck and listen to the sounds of the city. Enjoy your morning coffee on the front porch while the city wakes up around you. The 3 bedroom/1.5 bath 1700 sqft house has comfortable furnishings, large kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The ceilings are 10ft high, the floors are the original Long Leaf Pine and there are transoms above all the doors. The huge backyard is a rare find in this part of town and is great for entertaining or parking during SXSW. The house is 2 doors down from the French Legation.

There are coffee shops, restaurants and bars all within walking distance. Attractions such as the Alamo Draft House, The Capitol and the Convention Center are all about a 10 minute walk from here. The new 'hot spot' Rainey Street, is only a 20 minute walk

Awesome house, solid location, clean and comfortable...

The house is really close to the action in Austin and comfortably fit 6 of us guys... It comes complete with a fully capable kitchen, outdoor grill/patio, towels, etc (we did some cooking). Also, the ceilings are really high!

We visited for a bachelor party and it worked out great because we all had a lot of room. There just so happened to be a 16-girl bachelorette party next door too!! (yes, 16 girls fit in the monster home next to us) Good times, go figure... Jodi was very attentive and was happy to provide recommendations about things going on in the city. Highly recommended!!

I don't know if you'd need a car from here, but we had one and it was a 3 minute cruise into the heart of the city or nearby to some delicious restaurants (great stuff in east Austin)...

The location was great. Two block walk to E. 6th street with TONS of bars, restaurants, food trucks and fun. House was recently restored and looks better than photos display. Owners were easy to work with and quickly responded to any questions or concerns; as well as were flexible in meeting us upon our late arrival. This property is highly recommended to any and everyone. E. 6th street was beautiful but also make the walk to the Rainy St. area and check out the restored house bars/restaurants. Great trip, quiet neighborhood, close to 6th street, and Great Austin Adventure.

East Coast-West Coast-Texas Family Reunion

We rented this house to have a family reunion. There were five of us, grandparents, parents and an eleven month old. Our daughter and husband live in the area and could walk over to join us for get togethers. The house exceeded our expectations. It is beautifully restored, in great taste with a big kitchen with top of the line appliances. The house is spacious and has very high ceilings and plenty of natural light. It was great to have the Pack and Play for our granddaughter to sleep in. We were able to walk to many restaurants and to the Capitol and the University which took about half an hour. We also made use of the Car2G Smart Cars to get around. The photos of this house on VRBO do not do it justice.

Thank you for providing an excellent home away from home during our Austin holiday! The house is in excellent condition, on a nice quiet street and at walking distance to downtown Austin. The large Texan BBQ on the terrace provided us with several easy home cooked meals before heading out to enjoy the lively Austin nightlife. The Texan State Cemetery next door was a picture perfect "museum" and treasure trove of information on the history of the lone star state. Last but not least, the owner showed a very dedicated sense of service and was more helpful than we could ever have expected. Highly recommended by a family of 6 visiting Texas for the first time.

Great central location, wonderful accommodations.

Our group of 6 traveled to Austin from Tucson for ACL Festival, and we couldn't have picked a better place for our home base. Downtown and east 6th were all within walking distance, and we brought bikes to travel the ~3 miles to/from the festival and to explore the South Congress area as well.

Jodi and Scott provided everything we needed for an enjoyable weekend in Austin, and were very easy to work with in booking our stay. The split bedroom floor plan meant that each couple had ample amount of privacy, and all of the beds were super comfy. It was a very cute historic house that included some very nice modern upgrades.

We highly recommend this property, and look forward to staying here again during our next visit to Austin.

What a great place...

My friends and I traveled to Austin to enjoy food, music and plenty of local atmosphere. We found all of it within walking distance of this property. the first night we walked into downtown which was only about a 15 min walk. Later during our stay we found that the local Austin scene was only a mere 3 blocks away. Food trucks, great music and all the local atmosphere we could stand within a 5 minute walk from the property. The property was funished well, and the accomodations were excellent. The proerty owners were fantastic to work with through the process and next time myself or my friends find themselves in Austin, this property will once again be rented.... What a great city and what a superb place to stay, right in the middle of everyting.

Very cool 100 year old home, great setup

Stayed here in on a guys' trip, and found the place to be more than we expected. The house itself has a ton of charm, and 3 large bedrooms with comfortable beds in each. Just a single full bath, but we knew we'd only have the single shower on the front side. The kitchen is spacious and has basically everything you'd need. The location has great houses on both sides, and while a few houses nearby are run-down... the neighborhood was not at all worrisome. We walked to 6th street every day we were in town (5 minutes), and if we needed a cab it was a quick call and only a few dollars away.

Would absolutely stay here again on the next big trip to Austin.

Great Stay

We had a group of 7 guys visit Austin for a weekend. The house was terrific - very clean and large with a great outdoor deck. The house was in a great location as it was no more than a 5-10 minute walk to downtown and also very close to some great restaurants.

The owners of house were also very pleasant and accommodating - they met us when we arrived and were very helpful when we were planning our trip on places to go. Jodi was great in making sure we were comfortable and always made herself available. Overall, we had a great experience in Austin and I would highly recommend staying at this house for anyone visiting Austin.

This home is in an amazing location. Easy walking distance to 6th street and a 10 minute cab ride from the airport. No car necessary to experience all of Austin. The house was tastefully decorated, very comfortable and spotless. Jodi and Scott were exceptional hosts and very easy to coordinate with. I'd absolutely recommend this house to anyone traveling to Austin.

Great Place to Stay

The house was clean, nicely decorated and just as charming as the pictures show. Perfect floor plan for entertaining if you are going to Austin with friends or family and want to have a bbq out on the back deck. Within a short walking distance to a few cafes and about a two minute drive to everything downtown Austin has to offer. I will definitely be calling for my next stay, no complaints. :0)
