2 bedroom apartment in renovated house in Old Treme. It is located 3 blocks from the French Quarter, close to all the sights and sounds of New Orleans along Frenchmen and the Waterfront. The house is equipped with everything to make your stay a pleasant one. Ideal for the young or young at heart who want to discover New Orleans culture and diversity. Who knows you might even catch a Mardi Gras Indian second line parade going by on the street.
Treme is home to many musicians, writers and artists. It is a vibrant and welcoming community.
So come visit and 'Laissez les bons temps rouler'.
Retired architect from Montreal Canada and a retired schoolteacher also from Montreal Canada who fell in love with New Orleans and in particular with Treme.
This 160 year old house had suffered much damage during Katrina but we restored to its past splendour by keeping as much as the original features yet making it feel modern.
It is very close to the Quarter, Frenchmen and the waterfront but also very quiet in the evenings.

La maison Idéale.
A lovely couples retreat!!
A short walk away from the French quarter and best of all Frenchman street, in a real New Orleans neighbourhood, this flat is a gem. The kitchen is fully equipped, the living room has gorgeous windows, the bedrooms are quiet and comfortable and there is a pretty claw foot tub in the washroom; all you need for a romantic getaway ;)
The owners were great and made good bar (DBA-Spotted Cat) and restaurant(Three Muses-Cochon) recommendations and the neighbours were warm and greeted us with "Hello's" in the street (this never happens in our neighbourhood back home!). We are already planning our next visit in the spring.
