We loved our stay at this beautiful home. The house was very clean upon our arrival. The owner was there working on the dock when we got there and made us feel like his guest and not just a renter. The view is beautiful and the deck on the boathouse was where you could find me every evening with my choice of wine from nearby winery. We plan to return when we can. The house has everything you need for your stay.

This is a super home to vacation at. The owners have thought of everything. This home is completely stocked with everything you need for a restful, relaxing, and very comfortable respite from the daily grind of work, work. Come to this comfortable home and really unwind. Bring your bikes to take a ride down a quiet street. Or, just take a walk and meet some of the friendly folks who are on vacation or who live here. They are wonderful. Stretch out in the hammock and read a book, get in the lake and enjoy the cool water of Keuka Lake. Perhaps you just like to soak-up your surroundings. Well, this is just the place to see natures beauty. The owners of this lovely home have provided everything you could possibly need, so you can sit back and enjoy.

Our family of mom, dad, two kids and two dogs (plus a few friends here and there) just completed two weeks at this beautiful home (Summer 2012). We are already booking again for next year! Terrific waterfront, plenty of seating indoors and out, shade or sun depending on your pleasure, both docks were able to handle our larger boat, clean clean clean inside and out, lovely furnishings and decorations create a charming atmosphere. We were comfortable and enjoying vacation from the moment we arrived. Wonderful to hear occassional laughter of the camp kids and we were happy to realize that the camp next door posed no issues. Camp kids are not allowed to roam freely, there were no issues of kids hanging around or going up and down the road when they should not have been. Lovely to hear far off sounds of good clean fun. (Besides, this property is large enough that the camp would not seem too close anyway.) The water of Keuka Lake is extremely clean (you can drink it!), the walk into the water is a gentle slope which is great for kids of all ages. The privacy of the boathouse with it's own full bath was a wonderful thing to have available for some friends that came for the night. Kitchen had just about every type of pan, serving dish, utensil etc. that you could want in your home kitchen let alone the vacation kitchen where you try not to spend too much time! Care of the owners is evident through and through. Location on the lake is great for easy "boat out to dinner" options, 15 min to the grocery store, 10 min to a State park for hiking etc.

Cottage was perfect for my family of 5. My sister and two kids came to visit for the day and had a wonderful time playing in the large lawn as well as out in the water. The boat house was amazing to sit on the porch right on the water and enjoy a cup of coffee in the am. Town was close by as well as the wineries which everyone enjoyed.

This property was perfect for our family of 5. We had plenty of room. The boat house room was delightful with a porch off the back right above the lake. Wonderful to fall asleep with the waves hitting the dock. The kitchen was stocked with every kind of appliance; toaster, microwave, blender, 4 burner stove, plenty of pots and pans and utensils. The loft was a great area for the kids to hang out in and play games. There were two beds up there as well. The living room had a great comfy couch and two wonderful chairs flanked a beautiful stone fireplace. There were lots of games for the kids to play on rainy days. The property is situated on a quiet road. I went running most mornings out to the point which was a six mile loop. The lake is spectacular for swimming, boating, and water skiing. I would recommend this property to my friends and relatives. It was beautifully maintained and the owners were wonderful to deal with. If you are looking for a lake experience in a real log cabin this place is for you!

I can't even begin to describe how much our family enjoyed our time at this charming home on Keuka Lake. We knew that our three boys, ages 10 and 13, would have a great time but we had no idea they would be talking about it regularly almost a year later! The owners have thought of absolutely every detail in setting up the home and making it fun and homey while keeping the charm and simplicity of a lake house. The extra suite, complete with it's own veranda, is a special bonus. We would go back every year to this same house if we could!

We found this beautiful prpoerty while browsing VRBO. We are looking at renting again this July and felt prompted to write a review after reading the disappointing one that was posted about a July week.
Our stay in July of 2011 was quite different. We did know about the camp for children and can honestly say that it is well run and the children are under control at all times. We did not see or hear anyone out in the early am or in the late evening. The camp and counselors are very respectful of the area and neighboring vacationers. During the day normal noise is noticed but certainly not any worse than having a neighboring cottage with a yard full of young people all day long and into the late evening. The cottage was also clean and neat. Pictures shown do represent this property well.
Having said all of the above I would like to add the following:
This is a lovely, unique property and cottage on gorgeous Keuka Lake. The owners have thought of everything and the boathouse is truly a gem! Everything about the home/furnishings/ is quality and July is a spectacular month for a lake vacation. Here's to a great July at the lake! :-) Be sure to visit all the great wineries and cute villages nearby.

I can't find superlatives to express my satisfaction with my stay at this beautiful, clean, functional "home." My friends visited and stayed in the "boat house" apartment right in the water and you would think it was one not those Tahitian lagoon units. Every boring I found them out on its little deck drinking their fresh-brewed coffee and enjoying being right pin the water. I had read that there was a recreation camp nearby and that it might be noisy. It wasn't at all, unless you are one of those people kept awake by crickets.I have stayed at other places on other Finger Lakes, but this place was the best, and on the best lake as far as I'm concerned. The price is right for this beautiful place and its commodious surroundings. I've recommended it to many of my friends. I'm originally from this part of the country and I'lll be back!
