This shangi-la has been characterized by some as indescribable... but let me try... a secluded getaway with a private, pristine 12 acre lake for fishing, boating and swimming. Miles of awesome trails to reconnect with the serenity of nature. Soak up the views and ponder on our mountaintop sanctuary. Meet our peacocks Plato and Juno. Visit our horses in the meadows, the stable or watch them being trained in the indoor arena. Plus, enjoy the organic flower and veggie gardens, pick-nicking in the pinksters, homemade wine, star-gazing, bonfires and the list goes on... or simply relax in a hammock by the waters edge.

Whether a romantic getaway, a family vacation, a private or group retreat or a country wedding, we ARE the perfect setting. "any season...any reason"

Three types of accommodations:

Thoreau's Lakefront Cabin- Sweet Sunny 'one of a kind cabin' with fireplace

The Stable-Hidden 'Romantic Getaway' with a balcony overlooking the horses, meadows and lake.

The Garden Suite- Spacious Carriage House, Great room, bedroom with sleeping loft, fireplace, and views of lake and garden

Delhi is in close proximity to skiing, golfing, restaurants, bookstores, antique shops, yoga classes, galleries and museums.

Delhi is also 2 1/2 hours from NYC.

About The Owner

I moved to the country to change the rhythm of my life. The peace and quiet of nature has opened doors for me to explore my artistic side and live a healthier lifestyle. My dream retreat is a private 400 acre sanctuary nestled in the Catskill mountains of Upstate NY. The house and property were landscaped and designed by me and includes miles of groomed trails and old stone walls. The retreat family includes beautiful horses, 3 adoring dogs, peacocks..... Hiking, swimming, fishing, canoeing, and horseback riding, are some of the activities that inspire each day....Winding down with a pen or a paintbrush or a meditative reflection along the waters edge.... Sipping homemade wine by the fireplace as the moon reflects upon the lake....these are just a few of the many joys that brought me here. Come and be inspired too!

My boyfriend and I came up for a nice quiet weekend away from the city and thats totally what we got. The property was beautiful, garden apartment was clean and comfortable, and owners were very hospitable. We will definitely be back in the summer and both highly recommend this property !!! cabin in the winter

spent a nice quiet weekend up in the cabin three weeks ago. I was there in the summer and this time just wanted to get away from the city and chill which I did, My girlfriend and I spend two beautiful nights in the cabin reaquainting and regrouping. It was cold outside but the fireplace made in perfect inside. There was snow and we borrowed snowshoes from RWR and had a nice long hike up to the overlook. Great view. Bed was very comfortable cabin clean the water is the best I have ever drankand my gf loved the clawfoot tub, hats off the hosts laura and tom they really make sure you have what ever you need, and I rode a horse for the first time I think I answered most of what vrbo asks you to answer on this, oh and vrbo wouldnt let me put the actual date I was here so I just put the last dates you could put on we will be back thanks
