CLINTON COTTAGE NEAR LONG SANDS BEACH AND FAMOUS NUBBLE LIGHTHOUSE- This spacious quaint cottage sits on 1/3 of an acre and is located only 4 houses in from Long Sands Beach, the main York beach destination in southern Maine. This short distance provides the renter with a short walk to the beach added with a quiet, relaxing place to return to.The ocean is clearly visible as one enters the property from the spacious drive area.

The cottage living space is 750 square feet and consists of a great room concept (combined open LR, DR, kitchen areas), 2

large bedrooms (12’ x 15’ each), and a 3/4 bath (shower only). An additional 150 square feet of outside decks makes this the perfect spot for relaxing in the shade or sun. Entry to the cottage is celebrated through an enclosed porch lined on 2 sides with windows making this the perfect room for morning coffeee or evening happy hour. And the new outdoor shower is perfect for washing off the beach sand and salt water.

The yard has recently been updated and landscaped with large attractive planting areas that attract birds and butterflies and

a new slate walkway leading to the front lower deck. A new grill accompanies the deck and is ready to cook the perfect meal!

York is located near the Kittery shopping area with over 150 outlet stores, the historic York District, and the beach-boardwalk area (home-made salt water taffy is a must!). York is located in southern Maine off Highway 95 and is easily reached via the Boston MA airport (about a 60 min drive north) and the Manchester NH airport (about a 45 min drive east).

A perfect day could include a leisurely (or brisk!) walk or bike ride to the Nubble Lighthouse while enjoying the scenic views of the Coast of Maine, then lunch along the beach soaking in the sun and waves, followed by a little shopping at the outlets, closing with a nice dinner and show in Ogunquit or York Center!! Ahhh, vacation - this IS how life should be lived!

About The Owner

I was raised in Cumberland and Camden Maine through my grade school, high school, and college years and then my career took me out of state and across country. I enjoy visiting my cottage in the spring and fall to open it up for the summer and renters and then close it down after each season. While there, I go to the beach, take walks, visit family, do bike rides, eat and drink with friends and just enjoy life as a true hedonist - enjoying life's purest pleasures!! I hope you feel the same relaxing aura about my cottage as I do!

Why The Owner chose York Beach

Much of my rationale for buying in this location is being close to family, the beach, easy to get to and from (i.e. - airport access), and the area offers so much variety of life! It can be relaxing if you wish or full of activities!

What makes this cottage unique

Good food/drink/friends/music/shows/beach/sun and tons more! - such as shopping, boating, swimming, antiqueing, fall leaves, summer laughs, family gatherings, nice neighbors, etc, etc...

Absolutely outstanding....quiet, quaint, CLEAN, comfortable....would go back 100 times over.
Short walk to the beach (5 minutes), quiet road and neighbors. Sleeps 4 comfortably but you can, we did, sleep 6 comfortably with the pull out sofa. New grill, plenty of room on 2 decks outside, meticulous garden/flower area(s). Long Sands beach is great, small at high tide but still great even then. High School track right across the street if interested in running. Health club 3 miles away that does 1 week memberships...Resteraunts all over the place...Needless to say, we had a blast.

Recommended for: Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
