Coconut Gem was exactly as described or better. We had a wonderful time during our 10 day stay, Kathy was there to meet us and explained everything necessary, she was only a phone call away if we had any questions. We were only a short walk from Waikiki and a few steps (literally) to the water. We whale watched from the outside dining area. We will make every effort to rent again. Beautiful Sunsets - Beautiful Setting - Beautiful Home.

Memorable time at Coconut Gem

We recently stayed at the lovely Coconut Gem residence. We were looking for a spectacular setting to host a birthday party and boy did this fit the bill perfectly! The mix of tasteful interiors and oceanfront setting all in the best location on the island is truly unique. The house was perfectly appointed, any requests or questions we had were very promptly addressed and we could not have been more pleased with our selection of a vaction home in paradise. Thanks again and we hope to return soon.

Exceptional property

This is by far the best property I have stayed in within the Diamond Head area. If you are looking to be walking distance to Waikiki but away from all the noise & hustle-bustle, this property is for you. With absolutely incredible views, especially from HUGE masterbedroom! And every conceivable amenity/contraption in the home to entertain or just prepare a wonderful meal for two, you will feel right at home! Both the property managers and wonderful owner will make themselves available should you need them for any reason. We will definitely be back to enjoy this very special home once again soon!

Great property with a great location. Terrific Ocean view from backyard terrace with easy beach access. Master bedroom and master bath are spectacular. Owner was friendly and helpful in getting us set up and recommending nearby activities and attraction. Property is a short walk to Diamond Head Tennis Center which worked great for us since we had a number of tennis players in our group. It is a slightly longer walk (about 15-20 minutes) to Wakiki restaurants (Dukes and Orchids were among our favorites) and activites but far enough away to avoid all the hustle and bustle. We would highly recommend this property

The best of both worlds

We chose this unit because we wanted to stay within walking distance of Waikiki for a change, so we could enjoy the nightlife without having to worry about having someone always having to be the designated driver. In practice, we enjoyed the unit so much that most nights were spent at home! Coconut gem is a 10-15 minute walk from Kapahulu and Waikiki, yet is on a quiet street end giving guests all the benefits of the sounds of the waves, without the traffic. It is also a short walk to Lighthouse/Diamond Head Beach and Blackpoint (for any Doris Duke fans). The unit is beautifully decorated, beds are comfortable and it is spacious. The only downside is that the loft bedroom doesn't have an opening window and is less private. The master and second bedrooms are great, making this a perfect choice for two couples, or a family.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for taking the time to review our home. We are so glad you were able to enjoy all the benefits of the home and its close location to everything. With the back bedroom having the view of Diamond Head and the front bedroom facing the amazing ocean the middle bedroom was done with partial open air design to at least make it feel more open. We too wish there was some way to give the interior bedroom a window view, however, the construction of the home just doesn't make that possible. Mahalo once again for staying with us and we hope to welcome you back again someday.

Beautiful home, well appointed, fully furnished and great beach view! Loved just being able to sit outside on the covered patio and watch life pass us by. Great location, close to Waikiki and Diamond Head. Will definitely recommend Coconut Gem Hale to family and friends. Thank you!
