The property was of a very high standard indeed and very clean. Everything seemed brand new and had the feel of a smart city apartment. Although the property is modern, it is made from local stone and located in the heart of the old town and surrounded by traditional rustic buildings, which makes for an interesting outlook. The view was lovely and the owners very welcoming, kind and friendly. The location was ideal for exploring the harbour and town. The apartment is accessed via pretty cobbled streets and is only a couple of minutes walk to the harbour. The walk to the (rocky) beach was quite long though, and we were glad to have a car to explore the neighbouring towns and beaches in nearby rocky coves ( which were great for snorkelling- my 7 and 9 year old loved it, but not ideal for younger children). Milna itself is a delightful little unspoilt harbour town with a reasonable selec tion of restaurants. Our favourite restaurant by far was directly behind the indoor fruit market, in a little alleyway (I think it was called dolphin- it definitely had a pic of a fish on the sign!).Milna is very tourist friendly without being overly commercial. The bus service in the area seemed pretty efficient and had a regular service along windy mountain roads to nearby Supetar and Sutivan (but the road network on Brac is quite unsophisticated so exploration is a little limited, in our opinion). If you time your trip right, you can even get the catamaran to Hvar (Tuesdays, I think) and Split 3 times a week, directly from Milna harbour. Milna was definitely a much nicer town that Sutivan or Supetar- much more character, but beaches probably not quite as good. A great location to soak up harbour life and people watch, but maybe not the place for a one stop beach holiday. We had a great holiday, all in all.
