The "Angels Roost" was a very comfortable home-like place to stay.

This home was big enough that we never felt on-top of each other. Plenty of room for two adults, 3 children ages 14, 12 & 12 (Irish twins) plus being *dog friendly* we brought two out of our three dogs of our dogs with us. I should mention the WiFi was awesome too.

The bay is just a short jaunt for bringing the kids down to to poke around for crabs and shells. The pier at the public boat launch was great for the boys to fish off of, also so near by we walked.

"Downtown of Searsport" is just a short walk away with cute little stores and foodie choices.
Other local attractions can be driven to ~ 20 minutes to an hour away. THIS IS A GREAT LOCATION.

I personally enjoyed the grassy back yard the most; where I laid around with my dogs. Shaded in areas but also sunny in other area, nice family picnic table, Adirondack chairs plus a fire pit for toasting marshmallows.

Just a wonderful time and place to stay!

5 DOG PAWS...We arrived to a fresh bowl of dog water on the floor and local fresh flowers arranged on the table for the 'humans' to enjoy.

I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for great hospitality and New England charm. The location is ideal as well. The owner was so kind and accommodating when we found ourselves in need of a place to stay on very short notice. The house is well stocked with just about anything you can imagine. We hope to stay there again some day.

We made a late decision to go to Maine and had a difficult time finding a place to stay. This was our first experience with VRBO so I was a little apprehensive booking a place with no reviews. Angels Roost exceeded our expectations. Carol and Roland had a house that was welcoming, beyond stocked with anything we may have needed or forgotten and so pretty. We absolutely LOVED our stay and would go back in a heartbeat. I would like to book again with them next year! All details and pictures listed are very accurate. There was a fully stocked kitchen with a waffle maker that the kids and hubby LOVED. They even left a huge bag of waffle mix! The beds and bedrooms were more than comfortable and each room had a fan in the window. There were loads of games and puzzles for the kids and a big box of Maine info for people looking for things to do. Since we had never been to Maine, this was great for us.
If you are looking for a huge town with malls and such, you wont find it in Searsport. If you are looking for a cute, quaint town to visit that is reasonably close to everything, this is your place. We drove to Acadia/Bar Harbor twice. It was approx 1-1.25 hour drive. Boothbay was a little over an hour as well. We also traveled to Rockland for the Lobsterfest (waste of time) which was about an hour. Belfast was a quick 10ish minute drive which was a great little town with a little more to see/do. Youngs Lobster Pound was by far my favorite place to eat...dont miss it!
Thanks again for a picture perfect vacation! We were very pleased with our first trip to Maine!:)
