Modern apartment in the residential and trendy area of Putney, very close to the high street and metro and 5 minutes walk to the river.

The apartment has a bus stop in front of the building connecting to Piccadilly in 30-40 minutes by bus. East Putney tube is 5 minutes walk away with its district line connection to Victoria and Edgware Road in 15-20 minutes.

Putney rail station is also 5 minutes walk away with fast connection to Clapham Junction or Waterloo.

In Putney High Street you will find all convenience stores:

- Supermarket: Waitrose or Sainsbury

- Good pubs: The Spotted Horse or Be@One in the hight street or Star & Garter and Dukes Head on the riverside

- Nice restaurants, among our top list: Il Mascalzone or Enoteca for Italian foods, Rodezio for Brazilian Foods. In upper Richmond Road: Talda Thai for very good Thai food, Cho San for Japanese or Ma Goa for Indian food.

- You have also any kind of stores for your shopping in the high street.

Best thing to do on a sunny weekend afternoon (there are also some in London of these) is to walk on the riverside and have a beer outside watching the river or take a walk on the pathway to Hammersmith bridge

Bishop Park on the other side of the river crossing Putney bridge is a very nice park

If you want nature you can have very good time in the apartment. you can walk to the fabulous Richmond Park in just 10 minutes or go for a run to Wimblendon Common just 2 minutes south from the apartment.

Chelsea or Fulham are very close by and you can easily access all the main attraction of these two district.

This flat was amazing! Everything was very new and worked well, including the heating, appliances and television! All of the rooms were terrific and were very clean. I was particularly impressed with the bathrooms. I also really loved the location - it is very close to two bus stops and is not a far walk from Putney High Street which has a lot of great shops and restaurants.

Our stay in this Putney apartment was great. The primary reason for the trip was to spend a few days at Wimbledon and the rest visiting London. The location is perfect for both. It is right off of a main street so convenient to bus stops and tube stations and to the regional railway. Wimbledon was 1 tube stop away. Walking distance to pubs and shopping and close to the Thames. The apartment was well equiped and everything worked. The only drawback was the mattress to the kingsize bed was a little springy - it's a far cry from my Temperpedic. 1 accommodation that American's like to have are wash cloths - had to buy some to keep my parents happy. The apartment was big enough for my 2 parents, 2 kids and my husband and myself. WiFi was perfect.

As for making arrangements, the owner had great email communications, was very patient with my decision making process and provided me with detailed information about the apartment and location. Payment was straightforward and cost was reasonable compared to other 3BR apartments. The contact to provide us keys and entrance to the apartment was friendly, professional, prompt and very responsive. Apartment was quiet but with windows open there is street traffic. Oh and it was of course clean. There were dust bunnies that appearred overnight but they had a vacuum avail to quickly take care of them. The elevator worked as well and a must for my parents at age 67+.

London was great, Wimbledon was awesome. Weather was perfect. Only rained once but not enough to ruin our plans. Londoners were friendly and helpful at the tube stations. City was clean. Don't try to drive or ride a bike in London if you are a foreigner....crazy...must be fearless or have a death wish to drive or ride a bike. Adhere to the crosswalks and signals too. Pedestrians do not have a right of way. The Harry Potter Museum got good reviews from my dad, husband and 2 kids (10 and 13) as did the mall near the Olympic village. Anyway - would definitely recommend it to a friend and would return. If the bed was more comfortable - the rating would have been Excellent.
