Good but some improvement needed...
Before I get into the full review, I feel it's important to note the owner was very attentive, responded to all of our calls and was very accommodating. Location is as advertised its located on a beautiful resort and you have access to all of the resorts amenities. The owner even arranges for VIP passes which would give discounts at the restaurants and bar. The villa is nice but the appliances are very dated especially the range, normally this would not matter to us but it was a little to far gone not to pay attention to it. The place was not very clean there was a stains on the sheets, mold on the faucets and tile grout of both bathrooms. The lighting was very poor in both bathrooms, I had to change and swap light bulbs in order to light the bathrooms. On the last day when I was in the shower the handle broke off in my hand. Once your out of the resort area the location is not very good you need to drive but its worth it. El Yunque, the Koisk at the beach, and the river are great. We went horseback ridding on the beach worth every penny (catch a dream). All in all it was a good trip, but the owner needs to update his appliances and changes his cleaning service. I wanted to rate 2 1/2 stars but gave him 3 stars because he was always available to us.

I am very sorry you felt that way about my property. Not that I would have bought new appliances for you to meet your standards. The appliances are shown as they are in the pictures and it is true the range and the refrigerator are not new but they are in good looking and working condition. As for the rest of the appliances (coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, crockpot and rice maker) are all 1 year old from Costco. Not to mention the furniture, the LCD TVs (one of them internet ready), the 3 brand new inverter air conditioning units, ceiling fans, the very comfortable mattresses and the beautiful deco.
That review would have been fair to me, to any other home owner and to other travelers if after you complained about the important things like the cleaning and maybe a brighter light bulb, I wouldn’t take any action. Just as you mentioned in the review and I quote you “it's important to note the owner was very attentive, responded to all of our calls and was very accommodating”, I would have been more than happy to respond to that complaint and solve any inconvenience, but you never mentioned it in any of our communication. I take very seriously the responsibility of making my guests feel at home and enjoy their vacation.
