We recently spent four nights at this cottage and found it every bit as nice as advertised. It has a very homey feel, in part due to the layout but also because Amy has done a great job of decorating it. Lots to do within easy driving distance. One right turn onto Ocean Avenue and you're in downtown Carmel. Easy to get used to the lifestyle; we kept going back to Katy's Place, Bruno's Market & Deli, and the Carmel Valley Coffee Roasting Company. It's a busy community during certain times of the day so you might need to get a bit lucky to nab one of the many free parking spaces. We've advised Amy that we'll go out of our way to rent it again.

The Best place to Stay when in Carmel

From the moment my wife and I stepped in to Pussy Willow Cottage we new we were going to have a great vacation.
The house was perfect. Comfortable, beautifully decorated and every thing you would need for a fantastic stay
It is a 15 minute walk to town which has good restaurants for all tastes.
We spend many hours just visiting all the many different art galleries and stores then stopping a nearly every coffee store in town
Just great
I would highly recommend this house and we hope to return again

Second Time Around

This was our second visit to Pussy Willow Cottage, what a pleasure to walk through the door and enter this lovely home again. Everything was as nice as we remembered and Amy's recommendations for dining and siteseeing were spot-on. Thank you for a wonderful week, looking are already looking forward to returning next August.

Wonderful stay

We rented this cottage for a month and had a wonderful stay. The decor in the cottage is so comfortable, neutral colors with grays and taupes that are so current. I have been renting houses in Carmel for years and have found that so many rentals are tired and have not been kept fresh. The optional cottage in back makes this so flexible and it is as charming as the house. The back patio is perfect for having guests for dinner.. The only negative is that it is not an easy walk to town or rather it is not an easy walk back from town because of the hill. However, that was not a problem for us, but people should be aware of it. Amy was wonderful to work with, very accommodating. I would highly recommend this rental.

Perfect Carmel Getaway

We stayed at Pussy Willow Cottage in April while we were visiting for the Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival. The cottage was a perfect home base and set the tone for a very fun and relaxing long weekend. Not only is it beautifully decorated, but it is very functional as well. We felt giddy arriving, greeted by white lights on the gate, a cobblestone pathway to the front door and a goody bag with wine included as we entered the cottage. We appreciated that there were two bedroom suite areas that were separated (one downstairs and another upstairs) which allowed for privacy. Also there are several seating areas, allowing for everyone to have their own space - some chosing to curl up with a good book, others watching TV and also space for those that had to catch up on work. We love the option of the guest house, providing opportunities for us to return with a larger group. We also would love to return so we could spend more time in the lovely backyard which has great lounging furniture and a BBQ. There really was so much to love and would not bother looking anywhere else for future visits to Carmel. Thank you Amy for providing such a lovely place for us to stay!

Absolutely Enchanting!

From the moment my husband and I walked through the door, I knew that Pussy Willow Cottage was going to be perfect as our "home-away-from-home" while visiting the Monterey Penisula. Beautifully decorated with touches of Provence, the entire house was filled with natural light streaming through floor-to-ceiling windows and doors, tucked away amidst gardens and trees. This home provided all of the comforts and amenities that are needed for a relaxing vacation, and its location could not have been more convenient. We had easy access to the main roads, and it was a quick drive or leisurely walk into the enchanted village of Carmel. This quaint little town is filled with storybook cottages, incredible restaurants and retail shops, and features one of the most beautiful coastlines in the U.S. Amy (the owner) was a joy to work with - and I feel lucky that she opened up her home to us in order to experience the serenity of Carmel - the perfect destination for an escape from today's fast-paced world. Can't wait to return!

This was a perfect rental for our family - 3 couples. We rented the house plus the cottage and it gave each couple lots of space and a bathroom for each. The location was great - we were able to walk downtown and to the beach. The house was spacious, the kitchen had everything we needed. The house was light and airy and has a great patio area for grilling or sitting outside. We would definately recommend this house. Had a great experience.

Magical Stay in Carmel

We loved this cozy house. There was plenty of room for our family of five. So peaceful and beautifully decorated. The house was immaculately clean. The decor was perfect. We had a wonderful time in Carmel. The location is close enough to walk to town if you don't mind hills. It was so relaxing to sit by the fire and read. We will absolutely stay here again.

A Gem!

We have a large, blended family and a lot of different schedules to coordinate. It is nearly impossible to find a last-minute place to stay that will accomodate all of us. I was so relieved just to find Pussywillow cottage--imagine my surprise and absolute delight to find that it was truly a "story book cottage". Our entire family couldn't stop talking about how beautiful and perfect it was for us! We spent three perfect days in Carmel--the best gift we could have given each other in light of the Christmas Holiday. Thank you Anna!
