Come to Harlem and stay at a spectacular sun-filled parlor suite in a privately-owned landmarked brownstone as your vacation home. Experience spacious rooms with original oak floors, original wood details and 12 foot ceilings in an open loft like style. The suite has a soothing color scheme with beautiful and comfortable furniture. The suite consists of a one bedroom with a Queen size tempur-pedic bed and antique dressers. The livingroom has a queen size sofa bed and flat screen tv with cable and wireless internet access. It also consists of a fully equipped ktchen with stainless steel appliances and all utensils to cook a four course meal and then serve on a four person dining room table, which can be expanded to accommodate more guests, if necessary. A full size private bathroom with tub/shower combination is in the unit.

Management lives on site and is available to help you with all your questions and needs.

Nearby Highlights: The suite is located near the Convent Baptist Church, where you can listen to one of the best gospel choirs. If jazz is your style, St. Nick's Pub is a few blocks away. The Hamilton Grange house is located at St. Nicholas Park, and River State Bank Park, Riverside Park and Central Park are all within walking distance and/or a few minutes away.

Great Location in Harlem

My boyfriend and I stayed at this property and it was exactly what we were looking for. An affordable one bedroom apartment with easy access to transportation to get around the city. The apartment itself was very cozy, large and had met all of our requirements. The owner of the brownstone was wonderful. She met and greeted us, explained where everything is located and made us feel very welcomed. The building itself is a gorgeous brownstone centrally located near subway, supermarkets, pharmacies and shopping areas. I will highly recommend this property as we enjoyed it very much.

Home, sweet home in Harlem

Accidently we landed in Harlem and were very pleased the pipes broke down in the place we originally booked. The manageress Teresa did everything to make us feel comfortable, including coffee, nice conversations and sightseeing and shopping tips. The bed was wonderfull, the premises super clean and tastfully furnished. The bathroon held everything you possibly need.
Teresa's place is next to the tube station, which takes you to every place you want to visit and back to the airport as well, without having to change lines. The New York people were extremly friendly and helpfull. I'm looking forward to my next trip to New York and to Teresa's guesthouse, a highly recommendable place to stay.

Wonderful stay in Harlem

Also on behalf of my colleagues and friends, I want to thank Theresa for the kind hospitality in her suites.
The friendly and warm atmosphere she offered us is certainly one of the best souvenir we have of our stay in NYC.
This B&B, due also to the efficiency of the management, is in our opinion a very good chance for the new york travellers. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Everything and everybody is at your disposal to improve your stay.The express subway stop is at about 40 metres from the House, and 15' ride to Manhattan Centre. All around you can find Bars, shops and restaurants. In front of the House there is a magnificent Baptist Church where you can enjoy the Sunday Function and traditional Gospels.
We hope to come back soon to NYC and stay once more in this elegant House. Our thanks and regards also to the Madame manager and compliments once more for her efficiency and kindness.

New York at its best

What can I say? We were stranded and Teresa took us in, took care of us and made our stay unforgettable. The rooms were impeccable, the bed gorgeous - I never slept so well - the bath spacious and luxurious. In a nutshell, the perfect place to stay if you need to rest after an exhausting day downtown. What is more, you can even open the window and have fresh air at night, indispensable for me. And if you want to have a cup of tea or coffee, no problem, Teresa provides all of this.
The location of the house is perfect as well. Only 100 metres to the central ABC line, and 20 minutes from downtown. Across the street you find the perfect breakfast place.The neighbourhood is lively and diverse, just what we looked for in New York. We will definitely be back to get more of the city, of the people and their hospitality. Thank you for this awesome week.

We stayed at Theresa Suites for 4 nights and we enjoyed the kind hospitality in these suites.
The friendly and warm atmosphere offered us is certainly one of the best souvenir we have of our stay in NYC.
This Harlem House, due also to the efficiency of the management, is in our opinion a very good chance for the New York travellers.
The Suites are 30 metres from the subway stop and 10 minutes ride from the Manhattan center. Just in front of the House there is the Church for a magnificent Sunday Mass and Gospels, and all around you can find shops, bar and tipic restaurants.
We hope to come back soon to NYC and stay once more in this House.

We were booked into a bed-and-breakfast a few blocks away that had overbooked for the weekend and did not honor our reservation for the second night. That owner knew Theresa, called her, and luckily, she had room for us. She was warm, welcoming, and a wonderful hostess. The location is right next to the subway, which made it very convenient. The neighborhood felt safe. The suite was spacious, comfortable, and beautifully kept. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this rental to friends and relatives.

I suppose there is not much that needs to be said about this place and the hostess - absolutely amazing and definitely unforgettable first visit to US.

There was a confusion with our original B&B reservation for 10 days in Harlem, so we were sent to Teresa further up town and I am so glad this happened as we got to meet a very nice lady.

We were really upset and tired after coming all the way to NY and found out that we had no place to stay... Teresa was so nice and understanding, warm etc. she helped us to forget the whole incident. None the less, she made us fell like at home.

During our stay my wife had a birthday and probably the least what you can expect when so far away from your home and friends is "A surprise Dinner" ! :D with candles, cake and romantic music :D You simply can't forget moments like that and the people.

Teresa is not only a professional, manager, hostess and runs very fine standard business, but she is also a great great person.

The place was very clean and bright and we loved it.

I would recommend Teresa with no doubt.

I suppose I could go on and on with this review, but all I want to say is THANK YOU and I hope the next time we are in NY we will meet again.

We had a very pleasant stay in New York City at Teresa’s place. She couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating, and the room was attractive, clean and comfortable. Her beautiful brownstone is a close walk to most parts of Harlem and a half block from the local & express train, so you’re a short ride away from any part of Manhattan. We definitely recommend it.

This was a great apartment to stay in. Well taken care of and two excellent ladies who make sure you don’t miss out on anything. Location is also good, as you are close to the express subway and are down town in no time. Only slight negative is that there are no decent restaurants (except carry-out) in the vicinity.

We would definitely come back again
