This cottage is a perfect getaway for those needing relaxation. I appreciated the extra little touches like current reading materials, hot cocoa for the chilly nights, ingredients for smores. The owners were very accessible when needed. The cottage had all the amenities for an enjoyable stay.

It feels secluded but is close to Greenville and so many activities. It is a great little vacation spot!

I rented this house with 3 other friends of mine and we had a wonderful stay. The lake is quiet and seems secluded, but it's only a 10 minute drive to Greenville for groceries. There's a fire pit, 1 bathroom, picnic table, games, and lots of DVDs and movies. They thought of lots of amenities and little things that you may need during your stay. We are definitely planning on staying again.

We had the most laid back, relaxing time here! We stayed Sun-Thur and barely saw another person! We never needed to run the air-it was cool and breezy, with lots of shade. The lake was always warm and shallow enough to ease into it if you dont want to cannonball off the dock!
We felt like we were staying at a friends' house-it had everything we needed! The size was perfect-just enough space for two adults and two toddlers. There was a ton of toys, games and dvds to keep our little ones entertained when we had to be inside. The yard kept us busy with an awesome fire pit, gas grill, a swing and hammock. The dock was great for relaxing and watching for fish. We even had a visit from some swans one early evening!
There's not a ton to do in terms of sightseeing but if you just want to play in the water or relax in a peaceful, beautiful setting-this is the place!
We recommend the Farmers' Market and Rosie's Diner-especially with kids. You can also kayak the lake and connecting lakes in a short amount of time-there are places in the area to rent one, but the house also comes with a cute rowboat.

My husband and I had such a great experience at the cottage - we did not realize how much we needed the peace and relaxation until we had been there a day or two...and didn't want our week to end! The cottage, inside and out, is charming, clean, well maintained and well-stocked. We loved taking the row boat out onto the lake (which had very little weeds and grasses), and the hammock under the trees and the adirondeck chairs out on the dock were our favorite places to relax. We enjoyed the games - I can't even tell you how many games of Yahtzee we played! While the kitchen is small, it has everything you could need and more. It took a bit getting used to the well water in the bathroom, but that's lake-living I guess. Our children were with us the first night (they were at a local camp the rest of the week) and their favorite thing was swimming (they loved the raft that is anchored nearby) and feeding the fish off the dock. They were excited about camp, but bummed to have to leave the cottage. After a week there, we were too. We did not get cell phone reception, and there is no wi-fi or cable, which allowed us to electronically unplug for the week. If we wanted to check our phones or emails, Greenville was an easy 8 minute trip down the road where we became regulars at the McDonalds. We loved the proximity of the cottage to so many great places - Greenville with all of it's restaurants, shops and Farmer's Market is less than 10 minutes, Muskegon and Grand Rapids are about 40 minutes, and Silver Lake and Traverse City are a little over 2 hours. They all made great day trips when we weren't relaxing at the cottage! Thanks Dan and Erin - we had a great time and will be back soon!!!!

What a wonderful cottage we found this to be! The listing description was very accurate regarding location, layout, amenities, etc. The cottage was very clean and the property well-maintained. We would recommend this property to all of friends and family. The owners are excellently organized and provide top-notch customer service. Swimming, fishing, bonfires, relaxing in the hammock, BBQ, boating, the list of things to do is endless. If you rent this cottage, you will NOT be disappointed.
