Perfection
The Beachfront Palm House is every bit as advertised and an outstanding getaway for those who prefer to forgo the hotel/inn experience. The home was in excellent condition, and we were provided everything we needed to be comfortable: laundry facilities, a fully-equipped kitchen, and lots of hammocks to lounge in. Everything was clean and tidy and beautifully crafted. Check in and check out could not have been simpler.
Sunsets here are phenomenal and the beach was the cleanest we saw in Costa Rica during vacation. We felt connected and yet private. The hotel next door, Luz da Vida, has a nice pool for kiddos who prefer that to the surf, which is challenging for younger ones but a heck of a lot of fun for stronger swimmers.
Some people might not like the music piping in from Luz da Vida, but we actually really enjoyed 90% of it and gave right back with the speakers provided at the house. Enjoying a couple evenings of wine, music, candlelight and reading was the most relaxing part of our trip and we're anxious to do it again.
We felt 100% safe even though the house was wide open most of the day and night.
The only complaint we had was that the wi-fi dialup at the house was not very useful but the lovely Zaza Cafe is a short walk away and has a great connection. It was an excuse to get out and about and enjoy a really great cappuccino while catching up with work and the world.
We never got to meet Pia but she checked in regularly via phone and was as sweet and friendly as can be.
We will definitely be back and will sing the Beachfront Palm House praises to everyone we know!

Incredible Adventure in Santa Teresa
We just got home from 10 days at the Beachfront Palm House in Santa Teresa. We have rented a number of homes in Central American, the Caribbean as well as the United States and Beachfront Palm House is my favorite. The home is located directly on the beach, you can actually check out the surf from the patio and a great surf spot is located just in front of the house as well as just down the beach. The home is beautiful and unique, well equipped and very, very comfortable. Daily maid service and the owners being available for any and all questions was great. The small hotel next door is an added benefit with a pool, beach bar and restaurant use. The pictures on the website are beautiful, but still don't capture this magical location. Nightly sunsets are beautiful. We walked to dinner each night, either along the beach or on the road. Our all time favorite was Habanero's but everywhere we went was great. Surfboard rental was very reasonable, at about $70/longboard for a week. Don't miss Cabo Blanco Reserve, just outside of Cabuya as well as Montezuma for day trips. I would strongly recommend this property and location, it was an outstanding experience. Adios!

Beautiful private beach home in Santa Teresa
Our family enjoyed a very special 8 days at Casa Playa. Our teenage boys each had their own bedroom downstairs and each morning their surf instructor met them for lessons at the surf break just in front of the house. The property is large and private, and the house a work of art. Although the upstairs bedroom is not airconditioned it was fine for sleeping. What we enjoyed most about the house was the incredible outdoor living space. It was hard to get up out of the hammocks but we managed to do it on occasion! We didn't have a car and the house is an easy walk to restaurants, grocery stores and shops. Pia was a delight to deal with and was helpful in terms of restaurant tips and setting up our taxi for our departure. We hope to return one day.

Great house right on the beach
My family (2 adults/2 kids) really enjoyed our stay. The house is right on the beach, you can use the hotel swimming pool, beach chairs, restaurant, and ping pong table....We played on the beach, hiked cabo blanco and enjoyed a sunset cocktail every evening. The house has a nice kitchen, flat screen TV and air conditioning downstairs. (The loft bedroom has fans)...

Have always stayed in Mal Pais, because of the privacy. I never expected this place to be so serene, yet was able to access all of the hotel's benefits. It was great. Fenced yard right on the beach. Great surf break directly in front of the house. Also, between 3:00 and 7:00 is 2 for 1 Pina Coladas or whateverelse you may desire. Unbelievable sunsets. Already talking about returning with rest of family.

Really nice experience, i recomend for everyone,
the house is just in front of the beach, and everyafternoon tehere is amazing sunsets.

House in paradise
I really enjoyed my vacations in this house. I came from a hotel and someone talked to me about this house so i just went an talked to the owner, who are really nice people, and finally get the house.
I was there with my wife and she said that it is the most romantic home where we had stayed.
I really recomend it, thanks for everything.
