Great House But Harrasing Phone Calls Didn't Stop

This house was absolutely beautiful, and I really enjoyed the attention to detail but the one human detail that should have been muzzled was the owner. I arrived at this house, for a 16 person wedding on Friday with plans to stay until Sunday. All 16 people stayed in the home, all of them close family members. There were no plans for a "traditional' ceremony, no kids, no DJ, no party, just a location for a beloved couple to say their vows peacefully. Well, apparently, there was a communication breakdown. The owner claimed he wasn't informed about the small plans in the home, and when he learned of them, the 1st onslaught of threatening phone calls began. The owner was extremely rude and obnoxious to the bride and groom, even after they explained that this wasn't a traditional wedding, and the only people attending, were those staying in the house. Many of them elderly. The owner called the grooms cell phone multiple times before, on, and after his wedding day adding yet another stress to an already stressful day.. He was rude and insensitive to the situation at hand. Granted, I understand that he was concerned about this immaculate home, but his attitude really put a damper on the experience - and what could of been. My advice, if you want to rent this house, deal with a property manager and don't establish any contact with the owner. Not a nice experience at all. On the bright side, the cinema was great, the kitchen and bedrooms beautiful, and the game room was a nice touch. The house was clean and well kept. If you like golf, the course in the area looks pretty good. The photos accurately reflect the rentals appearance. It's not in the best location but if you have a large group it works. There are rules posted all around the property constantly reminding you, you will have to pay extra if there's an issue. The house does have a very loud door alarm meant to protect kids from drowning in the pool. We didn't have any kids in the house, and this alarm became very annoying, going off within 3 seconds of opening any downstairs door. If you don't have kids, I'd suggest you have them disable the alarm on the sliding glass doors because the sound it makes is piercing, and there's no way to stop it from going off, if your leaving the pool area and coming into the house. Loud. On a scale of 1 - 10, I'd rate the house at an 8. Would have been a 9.8 if the owner wouldn't have been so obnoxious and callous.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your feedback.
We take all of our feedback seriously and put actions in place to constantly improve our excellent service to make your stay even more enjoyable.
We have spoken to the homeowner at length, who has promised us not to interfere with any of our future guests.
Regarding the pool alarm, this I am afraid is a Florida law and all homes must be fitted with these.
We are however pleased that you enjoyed staying in the home and look forward to welcoming you back in the future.
