My friends and I very much enjoy the duplex, not fancy but clean and comfortable. 2 blocks from the beach, right near the dog park. We spent most of the time just enjoying the sun on the deck but did make it down to the beach a couple of time to enjoy a game a volleyball and a swim.

We had a great family vacation at Point Loma. However, the accommodations were pretty tight with 8 people. I think 12, as is listed on the ad, would mean at least 3 or 4 on the floor. The oven was difficult to use because of poor heat distribution. Apart from those minor issues we had a great time just being together in what I would call a beach bungalow... kind of damp and worn and sandy, but otherwise fine.

We stayed here for 4 nights. The house is simple and clean, and is in a great location one block from Ocean Beach. We had a couple of issues with the house - heating wasn't working and the shower curtain was missing. The owners were responsive and fixed these, but these are both very basic amenities that should have been in place at the start of the rental. The neighborhood is rather bohemian and there are a couple of great restaurants (bo beau and the 3rd corner) within walking distance. Overall 3.5 stars, but if heating etc was working from the start would be 4 stars.

We stayed here for four days for a family get together. Condo was just right for all 7 of us. Very close to the beach. Only short drive to airport, seaworld, and other beaches. Great place if you have a dog and small child with the completely fenced yard (which doesn't show in pictures), and the dog beach just a very short walk away. Condo was clean and had most everything you need for a stay. Comfortable yard furniture to relax in. Just a can opener was missing. Refrigerator did have bad moldy smell. Owner was kind enough to even let us have an extra few hours to check out due to conflict with airline schedule.
This condo is in the better (North )part of the beach. Cleaner area and not so many derelicts hanging out like by the pier and downtown area of Ocean Beach.

PROS: This property is steps from the dog beach and walking distance to the main drag. Stayed at this property for a girls weekend getaway and the balcony was an amazing gathering place; it was our focal point throughout the weekend and made the house. Plenty of outdoor furniture on the patio and downstairs in the front, fenced in yard. There were plenty of pots, pans and dishes and the fridge was a good size. Plenty of beach towels. One small fan provided. Basic necessities were provided in case you forgot something, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo & conditioner. Good water pressure in shower. Public beach walking distance if you don't have dogs. Highly recommend Hodad's (Guy Fieri showcased it) for burgers and Ciao Bella (the owners are adorable and attentive) for Italian. Minutes from Sea World, San Diego and the airport. Took cabs to San Diego for flat rates, which was a plus. Ferry to Coronado Island was convenient and cheap. Visible presence of police which made you feel safe. All around we had a great time.

CONS: No A/C (has it, but it's broken). No fans in bathrooms and little windows didn't help. Shower head rusted and falling apart. Mold in shower. Dirty. Couldn't go barefoot in the house without getting black feet in a matter of minutes. Dog urine smell just outside front door/fenced in yard from the barrage of dogs walking by (not property owners fault). Feces littered the side walks so you had to always watch where you were walking. Bath towels, hand towels and washcloths were scarce - would definitely recommend property owner providing more. Plenty of beach towels, which we had to use them for bath towels. No screens on windows = flying bugs that looked like termites throughout the kitchen and window sills and sketchy security at night since there is NO A/C. Asked for a bug man to come and spray and they dropped off scorpion and spider spray for US to spray. Living room furniture was uncomfortable and barely enough room for the 5 of us to sit and watch TV. Not enough room for 2 cars parked in tandem unless you have super compact cars. Asked for additional fans with no response, had to buy our own to get through weekend with no A/C.

This property is perfect! It's within walking distance of all things in OB. The beach is only about a block away. The condo itself has everything you need for an excellent vacation! We will definately be back!

This rental is a great location for everyone. It is an easy walk to all OB attractions. Genoa went above and beyond the call of duty. The rental is in a nice quiet neighborhood with easy parking. So if want to avoid the chaos and insanity of Mission and Pacific beaches, this is the place to go.

Very clean, GREAT location, duplex was very quiet to! Wonderful, recomend to all! And bring a pooch!
