Anniversary Trip

My husband and I recently stayed at this cottage on our first trip to San Diego for our 10th anniversary. It was indeed a real treat in a nice neighborhood wih cute Craftsman bungalows. We are a couple of runners so the proximity to Balboa Park's trails was perfect. What I found exemplary was the attention to detail. Every little thing you could think you would possibly need was there and even those items you didn't think of were there as well just in case; like umbrellas, books, a printer, etc. I was most surprised by the nice closet/laundry area in the back of the cottage. All in all, the setting was quiet, relaxing, and comfy and the flowers smelled great on the patio. Thank you so much for the wonderful stay and a nice easy vacation. This was me and my husband's 2nd stay in a vacation rental and it has further confirmed why I now really enjoy this type of lodging. Thanks again and we will definitely return to the cottage when we come back to San Diego some day.

Delightful Getaway In San Diego

We spent a week in San Diego and stayed at a wonderful VRBO property in the North Park area, near Balboa Park.
The property had everything to make an extended stay for two people a delight. Comfort, privacy, waking access to Balboa Park and local restaurants. Or the ability to cook your own meals, if you choose.
The owners were lovely and we enjoyed being part of a residential neighbourhood throughout the week.
We would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to visit San Diego.

great neighborhood cottage

We really enjoyed our stay here. The neighborhood is walkable, especially to restaurants, close to everything, quiet. The cottage is quite comfortable and well put together. The owners are very responsive and welcoming.

Near perfect!

Perfection is theoretically impossible to achieve, but we feel this came close. We were winter-weary Seattleites in need of sunshine, dry and warm. The cottage's location in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood was great. We enjoyed walking through neighborhoods and admiring the yards and houses while on our way to coffee. We used the bbq to cook a couple dinners and picked a fresh lemon off their lemon tree to dress our salad...yum. The cottage is very charming, comfortable and well appointed. Before we left we were already talking about wanting to go back. Hosts Mike and Sharon were fabulous.

Cozy cottage!

This was our first trip to the San Diego area. The cottage is in a lovely neighborhood and close to many of the sites and activities to be enjoyed in San Diego. The cottage is very clean, cozy, and comfortable with nice amenities. Mike and Sharon are very welcoming and helpful.hosts. We would definitely recommend this cottage.

Close to restaurants and parks

It was just as described. Clean and well taken care of. It worked for us since we had 2 dogs with us and it was close to our daughter's home. The owners were very helpful in answering any of our questions. There is nice park nearby to walk our dogs.

Clean, convenient, sweet cottage!

We loved our time in this sweet little cottage! We are vacation rental owners ourselves, so we know what it's lilke to run one. This place is a great location for a getaway; close to lots of great attractions, clean, private and safe. The neighborhood is very quiet and pedestrian friendly. The owners are friendly, helpful and prompt in replying to questions. We spent a lot of time walking through the neighborhood, admiring the Craftsman architecture, scoping out neighborhood eateries, even getting haircuts on Thorne Street. One reason we loved this cottage was the vintage feel, but the conveniences you seek when vacationing; comfy bed, nicely equipped kitchen, close to entertainment and shopping, and a place to feel like "your own".
We will definitely put this on our list of "first choices" when visiting San Diego.....which we do several times a year. I would highly recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a charming place to stay in the North Park vicinity.

Cozy Cottage

The "cottage" is roomier than we anticipated as well as being very comfortable, attractively furnished and immaculately clean. We lacked nothing. The previous reviews were completely accurate. The automatic timers on the heaters prevented chilly evenings and mornings and the heated bathroom floor kept our tootsies warm. The location is private and quiet (except the soothing bubbling of the koi pond), and the bed was very comfortable. I love walking around the area - the historic homes, the parks, the canyons and the North Park commercial district are fun. We would definitely plan to stay there again on future trips to San Diego.

Great little spot!

What value! We enjoyed our stay in North Point. Within walking distance of all the wonderful attractions at Balboa Park. Only a 10 minute drive to the Gaslamp Quarter and the Harbor. Very comfortable bed. Darling little courtyard with fountain for relaxing outdoors. The cottage is behind the owner's home...you enter by a side walkway.

Perfect hideaway

Great location (quiet and safe) near the park and restaurants. Extremely clean and comfortable. We've stayed in a lot of places through VRBO and this one was exactly as advertised. We will definitely be back for another hassle-free visit.
