Delightful Family Getaway

Vacations should be easy -- and in all aspects, these owners and their house "get it." There was three feet of snow on the ground, but somehow, none on the steps going up to the house. There was a crib waiting for our baby, toys and books even. There was the wood stove, the chef's knife that was actually sharp, the long view of a snow-laden forest, the pasture across the way for sledding. There were the two massive bedrooms (one with three beds in it) that housed me, my wife and our one-year-old and another couple with their three year-old. It was quiet at the house, good for long dinners with candles, but it was also five minutes from the town of Stowe and less than fifteen minutes to skiing at Trapp Family Lodge -- close enough to come back for lunch and a nap before the afternoon session there. I saw other places listed for twice the price in the area -- why bother with them? If you're coming to Stowe with 1-6 people, this is where you should go. (Unless we're coming back then, in which case, please keep the rate the same for us!)

Owner's Response: Hey Tim,
Thanks so much for your review! Everything you mentioned about our property is what we as a family love about it! We feel so fortunate to have that home for our weekend retreats! You guys left the house practically spotless - thank you for leaving the house so clean. You're welcome back any time!
Best,
Jon & Nicole Vinet
