Luxurious top of the line golf vacation home! Away from it all and central to everywhere! Located on the fabulous Kohala Coast of the Big Island – Hawaii. This secluded unit overlooks the third green of the Waikoloa Beach Golf Course. As of March 1,2013 we are proud members of the Waikoloa King and Beach golf club, which enables our guests to golf at members discounted rates. Twenty minutes north of the Kona airport in the Waikoloa Beach Resort you will be just across the road from the King and Queen shopping centers featuring upscale shops and restaurants. Here you will find a gourmet market for all your food needs as well as a great wine shop for those Hawaiian sunsets. More of a morning person? No problem- take your Starbucks over to the beach and enjoy a little solitude before the activities of the day begin.

If you golf, the Beach course offers you beautiful coastal views, challenging holes, and significantly reduced rates. The course rents Nike clubs so feel free to leave your clubs at home. There is a great little pro shop here and the Kings Grill is a great place for breakfast, lunch or a libation after an exhilarating round of golf.

If you prefer water sports there is snorkeling, boogie boarding and wind surfing at Anaeho’omalu Bay right across the road. The Hilton Hotel has a great dolphin experience for the kids or if you are more adventuresome, try swimming with wild dolphins in the open ocean with OneLoveOneSpirit. Captain Ray is a great guide and provides a once in a lifetime experience. OneLove also provides whale watching excursions in season. More of a beach bum? No problem. Hapuna Beach Sate Park, a mile long stretch of white sand beach with complete facilities, is just up the road a couple of miles. Or lounge around the pool directly across from your home.

Enjoy sightseeing? Try rain-forest trekking through Akaka State Falls and the Hawaii Botanical Tropical Gardens. Take in Volcano National Park. Hike through the lava tubes and drive along Crater Rim Drive. Visit the Black Sand Beach for sea turtle watching or take in the Place of Refuge (Pu’uhonua o Honaunau Nat’l. Park) for some really beautiful scenery and a picnic lunch.

Be sure to take in some local flavor at the Waimea Farmers Market every Wednesday & Saturday. The Fairmont Orchid Hotel at the Mauni Lani Resort provides a great sunset ceremony every evening along with live local entertainment. Brown’s Beach House is a great place for sunset dining. Many of the restaurants here on the Kohala Coast provide organic, locally grown produce, fresh seafood and sushi.

If you prefer to just hang out at home you will enjoy a fully outfitted gourmet kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Want to grill? About Susan

After 30+ years of living in the northern part of the U.S. – my husband and I purchased this home – brand new- in Aug. 2009. We chose it as a place to relax, recharge and enjoy vacations with our children and grandchildren.

For us the Big Island offered the most diversity and variety of activities. We chose the resort because it was located on the sunny, dry Kohala Coast in an upscale development. We chose the particular condo because it was in a low density property directly on the golf course. The landscaping provides privacy from the other units and allows access to the lawn just off the lanai. From the lanai you can see the sun rise in the morning and enjoy the trade winds as the sun goes down at night. We also liked the proximity to the pool, the beach and shopping.

In Sept. 2009 my husband passed away. It was his hope that life would be celebrated and enjoyed in this beautiful place. We have continued to do that with weddings, honeymooners, reunions and family vacations.

I moved to Highlands Ranch, Colorado in 2010. Life is meant to be shared and I was lucky enough to find a wonderful man who is an athletic director at a local high school here. We are engaged to be married and hope to marry on the beach across from the condo sometime soon. Keep posted- there will be video! God brings us to unexpected places!

It is our hope to share the beauty of Hawaii with you. We endeavor to make a vacation in paradise not only affordable, but to feel like a family home. It is our hope that this feeling is conveyed the minute you open the front door.. Whether you are a family hoping to take advantage of all the activities available for toddlers to teens, a golfer hoping for the ultimate golf experience, honeymooners, or empty nesters looking to reconnect – we think this will be the perfect place for you.

This property was exactly as advertised. Lovely and private but good amenites across the road at Queens and Kings shopping areas. Good quality furnishings throughout condo and excellent quantity and quality of beach accessories. Waikaloa Village is great for incidental grocery buying (stock up at Costco at the beginning of stay). Lava Java cafe also in the Village has good food and coffee at decent prices. The food court at the Queens shopping rea is also very good. Hapuna Beach is the best on the Island - gets very busy at weekends though, so need to park fairly early to get a spot. The Saddle Road cuts a lot of time from the drive to Hilo and the Volcano. Saw plenty of whales and also turtles (we visited in Feb/March). Had a fabulous month and would go back anytime.

Waikoloa Beach Villas are exactly as they appear in their marketing materials. The unit we stayed in was great with all of the amenities that were advertised. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer condo. The whole complex is only a few years old so it is still in really good shape. There are a few areas that are showing a bit of wear. The pool is very small and shallow but they have designed it so it looks very pretty with rocks and boulders around the pool. There is a water fall coming down one area of boulders. The best feature is the hot tub right beside the pool. That was ‘heaven!’ There wasn’t enough lounger by the pool. Not everyone could get a chair. That is the worst! You pay to go to a complex with a pool expecting to be able to sit around the pool. They have to do something about that! The grounds were well taken care of. Lots of greenery and flowers. Very clean. The condo itself is beautiful. Very nicely furnished. Well stocked in dishes,etc. It could use another cooking pot or 2. The condo had every gadget you could think of. Slow cooker, rice cooker, coffee bean grinder, but it did not have a simple potato masher. That was funny. For any first timers, there is NOTHING in the cubboards. Not even coffee for the first morning.** They give you soap and shampoo like a hotel but not the coffee. That was amusing too. Those are just 2 very little stupid things. A lot of care was put into this condo. The master bathroom is huge! There is 1 king size bed in the master and the other room has 2 twins that can be joined to make a king bed. The complex is very quiet most of the time. There is a mall right across the street for those that want to shop. There is a grocery store there as well but it is very expensive. Shop for food in Kona at Costco’s or Safeway and even Walmart. Kona which is only a 30 minute drive has a target, walmart, kmart so you can pick up supplies there. There is a foodland close the Villas in the next resort over. Maybe a 10minute drive.

** Now each guest is provided with free Kona coffee from Downes Grounds, which is locally grown on the Big Island. Thanks for the input Ron!

This is our third stay and we cannot wait to return. The location, beach area and activities make the perfect vacation. We love to snorkel in A-Bay – so a walk to the bay and a swim start each day. We always find something new to discover about the Big Island on our “explores.” This is the paradise of vacations in paradise.
