We live in Durango, a spectacular 50 miles south of Silverton. Our family has lived in southwest Colorado since the 1920s. Family members have worked in Silverton throughout the years as assayers, bar keeps, geologists, and miners. The current generation enjoys the outdoor adventures hiking, skiing, fishing, hunting, and biking.
We purchased the house as our base camp to enjoy the San Juan Mountains. The house is situated on 5-acres with year round access and just a short walk to downtown Silverton.
Activities such as skiing, tubing, hiking, biking are truly right out the door. 4th of July festivities are one of a kind with the fireworks display directly overhead...truly, the launch point less than 1000ft away
