Praiano Villa Rental Photos and Description

Villa Aristide is situated in the upper part of Praiano. It can easily be reached by car and there is covered parking available in the small piazza beside the entrance. The original old structure, which probably was part of a convent, has been recently renovated and divided into two separate independent parts, one of which is occasionally occupied by the owner. Both have independent gardens and entrances.

The exterior of Villa Aristide has a very elegant appearance; the high quality furnishings inside the house are extremely comfortable.

From the garden as well as the large terrace which is furnished with dining table and chairs, Villa Aristide offers a spectacular view of the sea and the Gulf of Salerno. Grocery stores are located a comfortable 10 minute walk along the typical alleys of the town. A pleasant ½ hr walk down old stairways and quiet lanes leads to the pebble beach La Praia and a romantic and scenic pathway carved out of the rock.

Here there are several excellent restau

Such a shame about the beds and AC

This is really a beautiful house in a wonderful location, perched right in the middle of Praiano on the hillside, with a breathtaking rooftop view that we enjoyed every night as we postponed going to bed for as long as possible. Why, you ask? Because the rooftop lounge chairs were far more comfortable than the beds, it was 90 degrees (late August), and all we had were three fans, one in each bedroom, and one of which was broken (one speed, no movement). To be honest, the house and the view probably made up for the lack of AC for me, I get cold easily, but nothing could make up for those uncomfortable beds -- metal cot beds that screeched every time we turned over or moved, and thin, rock-hard mattresses with matching rock-hard pillows. Two of the kids ended up sleeping on the sofabed together, and my husband put the lounge chair cushion on top of his mattress, while I used extra pillows to make mine almost bearable. We would have slept on the roof, but the sun rose early - bright and hot. None of the other furniture was much to speak of, either, but the pool and terrace were lovely and the caretaker incredibly nice. So all in all, three stars. With good beds and pillows? Four. Add more working fans? Five stars.
