Three bedroom, two bath villa located in a gated low country golf community offering championship Fazio golf, tennis, kayaking, boating, biking and shrimping on a 880 acre island surrounded by tidal waters that flow into the intercoastal waterway.

Villa is conveniently located 45 miles from the Savannah International airport, 20 miles to Hilton Head Island and Tanger Outlet for shopping with multiple restaurants in the area. Callawassie Island is close to Beaufort for historic sightseeing opportunities with Charleston 75 miles away. This location is a historian's dream.

We loved our month on Callawassie Island. The accomodations were very nice. King size bed on the main floor bedroom was very comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare and cook our meals, and the BBQ on the deck, over looking the first hole, was used extensively. The house has a PVR, telephone, and WiFi. The 27 holes of golf were very enjoyable. All three 9's were in excellent condition and equally challenging with very good greens. Excellent range with grass hitting area and short game (bunker, chipping, and putting) facility. Pool at the club house is very nice and a second pool at the "River Club" with a long deck out into the marsh was very scenic. The Island is very natural and quite with many birds and wild life. We also rode our bikes on the Island and the adjoining Spring Island which was very nice. The surrounding areas of Beaufort and Hilton Head are about a 15 to 20 minute drive and offer much history and many places to explore. John the owner was very helpful and great to deal with. We highly recommend this property and area and look forward to returning.

We enjoyed our month at this beautiful villa on Callawassi Island. It was very peaceful, relaxing and homey. The furniture was very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed watching the golfers go by on the first fairway from the sun room and we also played the three courses several times. The pro shop and clubhouse are within an easy walking distance from the villa. Callawassi Island is only a twenty minute drive to historic Beaufort and the many quaint shops. For a great vacation we highly recommend this property.

We had an excellent experience during our two month stay at this property. The accommodations were extremely clean and comfortable. The villa was well equipped and the owners were always available and responsive to any requests. The villa is situated in a unique setting amongst well maintained golf courses. The people within the community are very gracious and always helpful. We would definitely recommend this property.

Looking for a 5* vacation rental. This is the one. Everything in the listing was described accurately. The photos accurately reflected the rental's appearance and amenities and did surpass our expectations. The property was well maintained and clean. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a gourmet meal. All basics (sugar,salt, pepper, oil and vinegar, starter pack for coffee and tea, coffee whitener, filter paper etc.) were already available. The cutlery was of high quality and there were enough pots and plates and cups etc. A gas grill is avaiable on the terrace ( we did not use it). The Callawassie community offers an excellent golfcourse with clubhouse and swimming pool. A temporary membership can be arranged by the owner for a fee. The owner was very kind and helpful and he looked after us several times to assure that everything goes well and asked whether we need
anything in addition. He also provided a lot of local information material. The whole environment is absolutly quiet and recommendable for recreation. We highly recommend this property and will directly recommend it to our friends. For those who are not so experienced travellers or foreign visitors we like to mention that a (rental) car is necessary for this location. By car you can reach hundreds of shops and dozens of restaurants within 15 to 30 minutes. Hilton Head Island and Savannah are nearby and even Charleston is only 75 miles away.
