Photos and Description of the Ambergris Caye vacation condo rental
Condo, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Welcome, come experience paradise with us! We would love to have you stay with us!

Diamond Reef is six miles north of San Pedro in a gorgeous and secluded area directly in front of the popular Mexico Rocks Reef Diving Reserve. The clear, dazzling aqua blue waters are enchanting. It’s just like a postcard!

We built it here to be in front of Mexico Rocks - one of two popular dive destinations on Ambergris Caye (the other is Hol Chan Shark Ray Alley). It is very private and quiet, but no means remote. Other Villas and resorts that share this wonderful stretch of beach, include Casa Rana (two houses south), 18 Degrees North (one lot North), Costa Maya Resort and Portofino just south and Blue Reef and X’Tan Ha (formerly called Belize Legacy) just North. They all have websites that you may want to check out.

Away from the hustle and bustle of town, it is quiet and safe, providing the perfect place to vacation. Diamond Reef consists of three Condos, only two of which are rented. You have the huge private beach and pier virtually to yourself. It is the perfect place for a romantic get away or for the family who doesn’t want to worry about the kids getting away. The rate includes free pickup and return when you arrive and depart from San Pedro, a daily trip in our private boat to anywhere on the Island, free WiFi, DirecTv, use of a local cell phone during your stay and complementary Kayaks. The Kayaks can be taken directly to Mexico Rocks Reef. This should not be underrated, since you will not find this at just any other resort. Tour operators charge $40 plus 12.5% GST for a single outing to Mexico Rocks. In your case, it would be free and you can snorkel every day to your heart’s content!

Our private boat is at your disposal, complete with boat Captain, Alvin. Alvin is always available to take you to town or to any of the many resorts and restaurants up and down the coast of Ambergris Caye.

The Coastal Express water taxi also makes regularly scheduled stops at our pier as well, every one or two hours.

We stayed here in late March and early April and had an excellent time. Alvin and Rose went above and beyond in helping make us feel comfortable. We pretty much had the pool to ourselves and we used the Kayaks quite a bit. I didn't realize how valuable the pool would be, but we swam in it every single day. And, having a boat ride into town each day saved us a considerable amount of money on water taxis. The snorkelling just a short kayak away(Mexico Rocks) was unreal. Alvin helped arrange for us to take larger guided snorkel trips as well. There were 5 of us--3 adults and two children(aged 8 and 10). We found the place to be a perfect size. We will definitely be back and we will be bringing our friends. Fantastic time.

We had a great time at your place, Alvin and Rose were very helpful, seeing to all our needs, making our stay comfortable and stress free. I will definitely recommend this condo to all my friends! The complimentary boat ride into town was a real money saver. And once again we appreciate all your help with our questions regarding planning our first trip to Belize.

A Little Slice of Paradise!

Our family of 4 stayed in the downstairs condo for a week at the end of August. (We were a little concerned that it was the rainy season, but apparently we hit it during the "mauger" - the dry spell during the rainy season!) the weather was perfect, the condo beautiful, and we dubbed it our little slice of paradise.

We had the entire place to ourselves, and took full advantage of the complimentary kayaks. We kayaked to Mexico Rocks every day but one (more on that in a sec) and snorkeled. It is worth the investment to get your own snorkeling equipment. Make sure you have a dry snorkel. Even though the water inside the reef is relatively calm, it can get choppy and you don't want a mouthful of sea water, ever. The use of kayaks and proximity to a diving/snorkeling destination should not be underrated - you won't find that just anywhere. We saw the same pair of nurse sharks out there each day, along with sting rays that got close, but not too close! There is also a large conch bed out there, and you can take the shells if they aren't alive.

Alvin, the caretaker and boat captain, took great care of us, shuttling us to San Pedro (a 20 minute boat ride) almost daily. These condos are pretty remote in terms of getting to town, but there are neighboring homes and people do ride by on bikes from time to time. If you take an excursion, the tour company may not want to come and get you 6 miles north of town, unless the trip is that direction. No worries, Alvin will take you to town to meet the tour company! We used Unity Tours and highly recommend them to take you to Hol Chan/Shark Ray Alley (do not miss going there). These guys know what they are doing and make it fun. Our day aboard "No Rush" was unforgettable.

Back to the condo...we were glad to have wifi so we could send pix of our good time...drinking water is provided (don't drink out of the tap anywhere in Belize)...Alvin even had a few cold Belikins and sodas in the fridge for us on arrival! We did not have a problem with bugs (time of year?). You can do laundry with some advanced notice (in owner's condo next door), so don't pack too much.

We spent most of the time on the huge covered verandah looking at the azure ocean and listening to the waves break out past the reef. With no big plans and taking it day by day, this was the perfect way for our busy family to relax, and we did come home feeling truly relaxed. Can't wait to go back.

My husband, daughter and I stayed here in February to attend our friends' wedding (lovely location for a wedding, by the way!) We stayed in the upstairs 2-bdrm unit for 10 days. This condo is located about 5 miles north of San Pedro on the ocean side. Away from the hustle and bustle of town for quiet privacy yet close enough to go to town when we wanted. It was georgeous! We even saw fireflies one night.....my husband had never seen them before. We rented bicycles in town and rode them up and down the beach, exploring the island and its many sites. Alvin, the caretaker, host, and boatman met us at the airport in town and took us by boat to the condo. For only the cost of gas he was at our beck and call for quick transportation to take us to town and to bring us home. He was kind enough to fix me a coconut, using his machete.. He also helped us make arrangements for a bachelor fishing party, which included diving for lobster out at the reef and a beach BBQ of the lobsters and fish caught. My daughter and I took a charter to the Mayan ruins at Lamanai....only accessible by boat,.an awesome site, really remarkable and special; a great day that included a delicious lunch and spider and howler monkeys... What else? Kayaking and snorkeling, kayaks included! Beautiful clear water, warm, great for swimming...just can't capture the total experience in words or pictures. Lots of conch shells and conch fritters. Restaurant dining about half of US costs if you go into town. Some resorts charge exhorbitant high-end US prices, no point going there. Food costs reasonable for beer (good local beer), shrimp, fruits and veggies. Kitchen was fully equipped. All good, except bugs can be an issue. Bring your citronella candles and bug repellant. This location not wheelchair accessible.
